Hi all-

Preparing to,leave from NC to WV for the memorial service for my brother. 5 hr drive.
Not too bad.

So happy to be 100% sober. It's weird actually, that if I even think about drinking the thought goes away immediately.
It's like somehow there's now a "shut-off" switch in my brain that doesn't even allow it to germinate and grow.
It also helps to not allow regret, rumination of past transgressions. Not helpful and a waste of time.

So....off I go. My car is full of stuff I'm giving away,which is nice. I have no interest in holding onto things that I don't necessarily need. Minimalist thinking I suppose.

And Gman- one of the thing s is a nice guitar lol

I went back recently and read all of your posts and I thank you for being so open, for sharing so much. What you've written, following you, has helped me in many ways.

I was with my sister at a casino and we were right next to the bar.
I watched people drinking and was not one bit envious or tempted. I just wondered how many of them were like me-
one or two would never be enough.

Ann, Congratulations on 13 big weeks!
