I feel fairly 'indifferent' to alcohol this week, has hardly bothered me at all and I'm continuing to be amazed as a result. I thought it was only baclofen that truely allowed people to overcome alcohol cravings.

drinking on Naltrexone (sinclair method)
Hello everyone. I am on day 3, after giving up 1 year ago. I am a medical professional, but I do not in any way claim to be an expert on any of this. I gave up last year after my 30 pills ran out, because I was doing it all wrong, and had wrong expectations.
I encourage everyone who is seeking help to research the sinclair method in detail. The stats that I read say that it takes 3-6 months to get the full effect of the method. Last year, I gave up way too soon. No disease can be cured overnight. It sounds like many of us havehad this affliction for years. Stay strong and keep at it! It appears best to take your nal 1 hour before drinking, or before your usual craving time.
I am using nodict from River Pharmacy. This feels as good as the more expensive stuff from Spain, so I am confident with it. River Pharmacy, using Indian Nodict, appears to be the most affordable solution. Even at $1.60 US per pill, it certainly offsets my usual alcohol expenses.
May everyone in this forum be blessed with success! It is great for me to know that I am not alone!

I'm in the UK and have been experiencing great success with Nal. There is also a thread called 'Naltrexone Works!' which I started when I first experienced success with Naltrexone. I've put some facts about Nal in there - but am also happy to answer you directly if you don't want to wade through it all!
I have ordered via Goldpharma, but do get spam emails as a result. Delivery is usually within the week, 10 days tops and it appears to be just the same as the legit, prescription Nal that I also use. I did obtain a private prescription for it after seeing Dr Chick up in Edinburgh, although you do have to pay him to see him the cost of the prescription at the pharmacy is then a lot less than ordering online at around ?30 for a 1 month supply - and of course you are getting it from a legit source. I've now convinced my GP to prescribe on the NHS, so a month's supply is now only costing me ?7.40 and of course it means I'm getting support from her now.
By the way it is expensive per pill but the thing is you only need to take 1 x 50mg tablet per day - as opposed to baclofen where you could be taking 10 a day. So I think this is where people get confused. Works out at only about ?2 a day, even at the inflated internet prices.
There is also a Nal forum thesinclairmethod.com • Index page but all this might be overload for you right now.

drinking on Naltrexone (sinclair method)
I just wanted to add to this post that i have been on Naltrexone for over a month, yes it is wonderful for stopping the cravings, HOWEVER, you need to get your liver checked with it, it is not just a gimme gimme pill. I am an alcoholic and i did not drink for several months, i tried a drink the past 2 weeks, and for me honestly I woke up with such a headache, not hangover, just headache. I honestly want to know how i can fix this besides the obvious and not drink, although I think I want to do that anyway, since the meds are working..
If anyone else has similar thoughts please let me know.

How much did you take on a daily basis? 6 pills or more? The dosage at which liver damage begins is 300mg. The normal dosage is 50 mg per day.
My experience is naltrexone makes hangovers worse. The more alcohol free days, the worse the hangovers become. The hangover isn't my liver: it's the receptors being blocked.Sinclair Method (50mg naltrexone one hour before drinking)
Pre TSM 80-90 Units Per Week, No Alc Free Days
After control: 3-6 units per month, 25+ alcohol free days!

Only reason to get your liver checked whilst taking it is because of the alcohol you carry on drinking, which tends most of the time to diminish.
From what I understand liver damage tends to show itself in the form of pain in the area and yellow eyes, although this is only when it's badly damaged, in the meantime nothing much seems wrong.I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

It is only as toxic to the liver as one 200mg Tylenol (acetaminophen/paracetamol).
Tylenol isn't the best stuff in the world for your liver, but the liver check warning for Naltrexone is just an overreaction.:nutso: I take pride in my humility :nutso:
