Sinclair Method
Hello all, I am new here but saw this thread and thought i would chime in. There is a new book out by a Phd named Roy Eskapa specifically detailing The Sinclair Method entitled "The cure for alcoholism" I purchased this book and it explains in detail how Naltrexone should be used with alcohol. You should NOT take Naltrexone on days that you are not drinking, but only take it BEFORE a drinking session, over time this is supposed to create what they call "pharmicalogical exctinction" which basically means that it erases your desire and addiction to drink alcohol. You can choose to continue drinking in moderation or quit completely with one caveat... you MUST take naltrexone each time BEFORE you drink... Naltrexone only works if you drink while on it. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com and explains it way better than I can... now, I have not yet tried this, as I am currently abstinent, but if I do ever drink again I will certainly give this method a try. If anyone is truly interested in the Sinclair method, I suggest you buy this book! Dr. Sinclair has been researching this method for over 40 years and they claim an 80% success rate.
