TERRIBLE DRY MOUTH!!

Has anyone experienced severe dry mouth on the recmmended regime of meds/etc.? This is driving me crazy...... and I'm not sure if its the Topa, kudzu or what that's causing this. HELP!!

Southerngirl, I'm not sure about Kuduz but I looked up Topamax in one of my drug reference books, dry mouth is a side effect. Try products called Biotene, Toothpaste, mouthwash and a gel to moisten your mouth. Most people don't know it but our toothpastes contain some ingredients that can dry you mouth and most mouth washes contain alcohol which will also dry your mouth. I'm no expert here, just some info I have access to. Hope it helps

I had the same side effect but luckily, it was during the summer months and it just made me consume a lot more water which is a good thing. Now, I hardly drink water at all! It will pass.

TERRIBLE DRY MOUTH!!

It is very important to drink a lot of water while taking topa. Otherwise you can hurt your kidneys and/or get kidney stones.
