    New here -- where can I get Topamax online?

    I've been an occasional lurker here while trying to ignore the fact that I have a drinking problem. But I can no longer do so. I don't drink in the AM or the afternoon, just in the evening, but can go through a bottle of wine with no problem. I really need to either stop or moderate, for the sake of my marriage and my kids. I was always a moderate drinker, but after my divorce I used wine to cope....I had 4 yr old triplets and was overwhelmed raising them by myself. Anyway, I'm blabbing on here. You seem like a wonderful, caring group. I would like to start Topamax. Has anyone ordered it online? What website? I am too embarassed to go to my physician, although I'm sure he's seen/heard it all! Thank you so much.

    Hello fullhouse and welcome, I am suprised no one has answered you yet. I think your first step would be to read or download Roberta Jewels book so that you have a clear understanding of what and why you would take any of the supplements or meds. You're right, your doctor may have heard or not but it is a good idea if you can to have medical support as well. As far as the Topamax alot of folks order it from River pharmacy with no problem. Best to you, keep posting and reading.

      Thanks very much. I did a search and found the River Pharmacy, ordered the meds this afternoon. I wish shipping was faster but it's nice to be anonymous with this. I will download the book. Have already taken Kudzu without much success so I hope the Topamax will work better. Thanks again.

        fullhouse, I have a similar drinking history to yours. I do not have children but started drinking more, especially during the week after my divorce. Well, that was 9 years ago and I am happily remarried 7 years now but keep drinking to cope with other things. I too could down a bottle to bottle and a half in an evening. I started with MWO supps, all but ALL in one powder, added an amino acid supp on my own. My doctor started me on Campral in Oct, did'nt seem to do much. I read Vitamins for Dummies (which has a section for alcoholism) and 7 weeks to Sobriety (which I'm told is alittle much for problem drinkers, we may not need as heavy dose of supps) I ordered Naltrexone and Topamax from River Pharmacy and was afraid to take either. Found out about Nov 1st my brother had addiction problems and became scared of the genetic predispostion and started Naltrexone. Worked like a charm for about a week and stoppped. Just before Thanksgiving I really began stress drinking again and thought maybe it was because I was out of Campral. My physican put me back on Campral and I really think it did help allitle with the supps I tailored to my self with my own research. I also started Topamax 25mg a day just out off curiosity and the fact that old habits were coming back and it seems to be working. Placebo or what I don't care. Will keep you posted, best to you.

            Kat20, thanks for your help. It sounds like you're doing well. Are you AF or just moderating? I am also remarried and my DH and I have a 21 month old. Drank very little during my pg, even though I wanted to, so I know I can do it! My DH also has two girls, 12 and 14 yrs old, so when all the kids are here there are 6. No wonder I drink, ha ha. I think it has just become a habit that's hard to break. When I'm out of my usual routine and not home, I don't crave wine or even think about it. Have you ever tried the topamax? I'm a little nervous about taking it.

              Fullhouse Hello, My goal at this point is to be AF during the week and moderated during the weekend. so far I am on my second week and doing pretty well. I had a typo above, I started taking 25mg Topamax out of curiosity and it could be working but it is such a small dose. Either way I don't care, right now I am more in control than I have been in 15 years and taking it ODAT.

                  I just ordered Top from Aclepsa...Has anyone ordered from them? I hope it will work for me. I have to wait 10 days for it though.
