    Switched from Campral/Naltrexone to Topamax

And, I must say, I am having ever side effect listed on the Topamax info sheet they gave me at detox and more: cognitive distortion, decreased mental alertness, blurred vision, weakness, tiredness, drowsiness, dizziness, tingling sensations, loss of appetite (actually I have no problems there), unsteadiness (I walk like a drunk) slowing, shakiness, speech problems (BIG TIME), mental/mood changes (BIG TIME), itching, shortness of breath, fever (well, not yet), persistent sore throat, and a whole host of other problems. Can anyone assure me that these side effects will subside?

The Campral/Naltrexone combo seemed to work (when I actually took it). I had just read such good things about Topamax. AND, the cost for one prescription is less than that for two. (Duh.) I'm wondering if I should switch back, though, or give it a bit more time.

Pink... How much are you on and when are you taking it? I am also on Topamax and have experimented with it a lot.. maybe I can help...

Face your deficiencies and acknowledge them, but do not let them master you. Let them teach you patience, sweetness, insight.

I think I took three (morning) doses of 25 mg. My last dose was on Thursday. I came home and tried to get the script filled, but there was some mess-up with my insurance. The woman I talked to at the insurance place assured me that I would be able to get it filled by this afternoon. The doc at detox told me to take 25 mg a day for a week then up it to 50 mg a day. After that, I'm supposed to go see my psychiatrist here. I don't know if it matters, but I'm also on 225 mg Effexor and 200 mg Wellbutrin (both of which I've been on for years, even though they do nothing for me other than take away my suicidal thoughts).
