Interesting....no gas now, but I am taking 1/2 the dose the Dr. prescribed as I explained in my post in this section. When I first started I was on the 6 a day regimine, and did have gas...my golly the dogs sure got excited when I released in the truck. Anyway I seems to be getting all the benefits of no craving, so I will stick with it at that level unless I start having cravings that threaten my AF program. Then too, I BELIEVE that this is going to work. Our family has a streak of Christain Science influence in it , and I think that and even the placebo effect all have their place. Hey, if it works....who cares if it is the Dale Carnegie "Power of Positive Thinking" effect. I still get silly excited how good I feel with under 40 days of AF.... Why would I drink when not drinking makes me feel this good? Paul

Cindi and Dimbulb, Just got into work and read your posts and LMAO. Oh yeah I farted too. My guts would make this noise like the guy in the movie "Dumb and Dumber" when he drank the turbo lax. Not a pleasant noise for clients to hear. Dimbulb, when I would let loose on couch or in bed, the dogs were the only ones that would stick around. Woman's best friend.

You described my current situation perfectly. I too am on Campral and have been for two years (no dosage change) and I keep "slipping" and the consequences are very severe. After I've drank for a day or two, I stop and get back in the program but the damage is already done. I just slipped recently and I absolutely hate myself. I've been on and off for years. I hate the person I become when I drink, if I even remember the next day. Anyone have any suggestions on other techniques? :new:
