    Breastfeeding with supps/Topamax

    Does anyone know if there are dangers with breastfeeding while taking the supps and/or meds? The Mayo Clinic link said that no studies had been done on the Topa, and I thought I may have seen something that said no nursing while taking kudzu. I have not purchased any supps yet, partially because I am scared of starting the program, and partially because I don't want to stop nursing. But I am thinking it may be more beneficial for my son to have a sober mom. I am really struggling.

    I am so glad your breastfeeding, I did till forever. I sure dont know tho about it with topa. Try a google search.

      Personally I would wait for the topa when you are done breastfeeding - most of the supps will tell you on a quick search if they are ok for breastfeeding. I'm just going off my my neurologist said about topa

        A girl at work has a college age daughter who experienced migraines. the doctor did not want to prescribe Topamax due to the possible negative effects on the baby if she got pregnant. that leads me to believe you probably shouldn't take it if you are breast feeding. I don't know for sure but i think i would go to the side of caution and not take it until you stop breastfeeding
