Sammys, Dolphin & Cindi -- thanks for the kind words...
Cindi I remember reading that you can't take topa because of your skin at first I thought I had that problem with topa but now I can tolerate it (but I only take 50mgs)

Antabuse haircolor -- not cool!!!!!
Tiny,
I tried the topa twice and both times my skin got worse and worse. I got up to 75 mg once and felt like all my skin was going to come off my body. It was gross.
Luckily, I don't really plan on trying to mod, I want to be AF and the AB is great for that.
Love,
CindiAF April 9, 2016

Tiny, don't just give up your highlights yet!
Some of the major brands have the following ingredients:
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Oleth-5, Ammonium Hydroxide, Oleic Acid, Stearamid MEA,
Cocamide MEA, Sodium cetearyl Sulfate, Sodium Sulfite, Propylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol Stearate SE, Ammonium Chloride, Tetra -Sodium EDTA, Polysilicone 9, Ascorbic Acid, Alcohol denat., Panthenol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Squalane, Silica, Ubiquinone, Fragrance, m-Amniophenol, 2-Amnio-4-Hydroxy-ethylamino-Anisole Sulfate, 2,5,6-Triamino-4-Pyrimidinol Sulfate, 4-Chlororesorcinol, Resorcinol and a few others depending on the shade of colour you choose. In no way can I explain the reasons for all these chemicals, but I know that the Cetearyl Alcohol is derived from plants and is used as an emulsifier in hair colour as well as face creams. It is actually a type of wax. It will do you no harm and is not really alcohol in the conventional sense.
The "denatured alcohol" is used in the process of disolving anilin dies, that eventually end up in the whole brew. This type of alcohol is also found in mouthwash.
During a colouring service approximately 4 fl.oz. of colour are cut or mixed with about 1/3 to 1/2 of peroxide. The actual amount of colour solution in contact with your scalp is miniscule and the scalp is the only place where absorbtion could take place.
The industry is governed by strict guidelines and all the ingredients have been tested extensively. However, anyone can become allergic to any of these things.
My point is that I doubt that you had a reaction because you were on Antabuse, but that is just my opinion, but that does not mean that you could not get sick just smelling the haircolour. Antabuse is a very powerful drug and everyone reacts differently. I still get sick in the back of a car, after all these years. LOL.

Antabuse haircolor -- not cool!!!!!
Lori,
Thanks for taking the time out to provide the details of hair color ingredients... hmmm... it was such an odd experience and I was soooo sick that I attributed it to the antabuse. I had not taken the antabuse since and I also drank! So, I have ugly hair and I drank after 15 days AF! UGH!!!!Tiny

Tiny,
Just be nice to yourself, go get your hair done and get back on the wagon. You can do this, because you have already done 15 days.
