    Antabuse and alcohol-free products

Hi, while Im waiting for my antabuse to arrive, Im busy checking through my dressing table and wondering what cleansers/moisterisers/shampoos I can use. I use oil of olay, but have thrown away the box with the ingredients on - does anyone know if oil of olay moisterisers have alcohol in them?
Another couple of concerns was shampoo/conditioner - will that need to be AL-free too?

Also, I know this may sound silly, but while checking through my kitchen cupboards I noticed that brown sauce has "spirit vinegar" in.. would that cause an effect at all?

Wouldnt it be great if there was a place that only sold Alcohol-Free beauty products ?
?I am playing all the right notes... But not necessarily in the right order.....?

Hair care/skin care.. even a recipe section! And for those who can drink the AF wines/beers, there's lots to choose from as well

      Hi Chelle

In the past when I have taken antabuse, I never bothered looking at labels or anything and never noticed any sort of reaction- but last week I bought a salad dressing which I don't usually buy and it cave me quite a headache for the rest of the day- white wine vinegar was listed on the label but as I said I hhave never reacted in the past- I guess this one maybe had a higher vinegar content than others.

I guess if you just put a bit of brown sauce on you should be OK- (it would surely not be enough alcohol to start a reaction, but the headaches can be quite severe) I am rather liberal with my salad dressing

Hi Marbella, Thanks for that. I was wondering about salad dressings, because Im quite liberal with them too.. sometimes more 'dressing' than 'salad'

          Chelle,

I, too, have had no adverse reaction to products that contain alcohol. I use hairspray, lotions, etc.

Everyone is different. Some people do react with those. You will just have to wait and see.

As for salad dressings, I stay away from those with lots of vinegar just as a precaution.

I can drink AF beer, though, so that small amount of alcohol doesn't bother me.

I even rinse with mouthwash that has alcohol, but I am extremely careful NOT to swallow any.

I wish you great luck with the Antabuse. Beatle is allergic to it and recommends you start with half a pill.

The Antabuse builds up over time so that after about a week of taking it, if you stop taking it you cannot drink for about 14 days without getting horribly sick. Keep that in mind.

I so hope it works as well for you as it is for me. I am a hardcore alcoholic. A real drunk. Today I am on my 4th week and so happy. I am going to take Antabuse for more than a year. I am NEVER going back to being the drunk again. Ever.

          Love,
          Cindi

            Oh Cindi

You are an inspiration- I am glad you are sounding so happy these days.

I am taking the minimal dose of antabuse to get buy- I usually have adverse reactions to meds but I find if I take 1 pill every five days or half a pil every 3 days, I am OK. Today was my day to take another half, and I actually took it with joy, up till now I have taken it with the feeling 'I am jeopardising my crutch' no such thoughts today!

Hello I am new in here, please tell me from where you buy your antabuse

Hello, I am new in here.
I have read a lot about antabuse, but nobody is saying where and how they buy the antabuse drug. Is it from online pharmacy? Which pharmacy?
Please be the first who advise me from where to have this drug. I went online few times and ordered disulfiram tablets but I don't know if they are real as the effects are minimal.
Please tell me if you are ordering this online, from where and how to compare a real pill with a fake?

                Thnak you in advance.

                Ionut.
