Antabuse-weight changes?
Same with weight
I eat extremely well, as well as know my body. My diet and exercise are kept to maintain my weight, however I have started antabuse 20 days ago, and the scale won't budge. I count my carbs/fat/protein and do cardio. I can eat a little naughty for a few days, and then go back on schedule with my routine and It will come right back off, however anything that goes on (2 lbs.) does not come back off. I've been in the same habits for over three years, so with how careful I watch myself, I notice that difference with antabuse. It's possible water weight is being held onto, I do feel the "puffiness" which normally leaves in a day or two for me, but this is steady. I don't feel like drinking, but I don't like my healthy habits being messed with either.
I'm starting Zyban on Monday, which was referred to me by a few different people and my regular doctor... to quit smoking. I know quitting smoking can also put on a few pounds which is a drag, because I would love to be smoke free... the antabuse has free'd my mind of thoughts of drinking, but something I truely enjoy to work on is my figure, and eating healthy.
Sometimes a bit frustrating, but taking one day at a time and making the best of what you have, where you are, trying not to sweat the small stuff, is what we need to do sometimes.

Antabuse-weight changes?
I took Antabuse for several months when first getting off alcohol, and only noticed a weight loss due to being unable to drink. Alcohol has more calories/kJ than carbohydrates and is second only to fat itself in this way, and many alcoholic drinks are also laden with sugar (e.g. wine).
I should add that I was only taking a quarter to a half of a tablet each day, so a full one or more may have some other weight effects I am not aware of. I wish you well with this, and hope you do end up losing weight due to the lack of alcohol.
