Please Describe for me the Tingling You Get

    ...On Topamax.

For me, I feel tingling in my toes (sometimes) but so far it's mostly in my face!!

The facial tinglies (almost like numbness - mostly in my left cheek) is weird and I don't think I've read about anyone else having that....just want to make sure I'm not experiencing anything bizarre here!

    Thanks

I don't take Topa Sassy, but I have heard others describe the same thing. It is also mentioned in the MWO book. RJ recommends a supplement that helps. If you don't have the book, I will look it up for you.

No tingle toes yet here either. But I get this weird "tingle/flush" thing in the mornings that I think may be one of the supps. Goes away in about a half hour.

How long does the cheek tingle last?

        I experience the face tingling.

Stangely enough usually the day after a night I've had something to drink. I take potassim when I take my topa, not sure if helps at all.

I also get the toe tingling, but notice that correcting my posture seems to make it go away.

I have tingling in the heals of my feet sporadically. Also, when we go motocrycle riding my cheeks tingle after the ride. Weird.

            Sassy Girl,
Don't take topa but get tingling when I take Gaba. Like a rush to my face. Glad to see someone finally got topa in Aus. How are you going on it? Is the tingling worrying to you or just weird?

Well, I am not worried about it so much now that it seems to be a "normal" side effect of this drug. I wish I knew what was causing the "tingles", then it wouldn't weird me out so much. For a little bit there I was thinking, "Am I having a stroke?" (At the ripe old age of 34!!)

I have the facial tingles pretty much all day...sometimes in my lips too. It's more like numbness then a rush.

I am going to look for the supplement to get rid of it, I think.

P.S. I am not in Oz, actually. My boyfriend is from Sydney...I just wasn't feeling especially creative when I picked my avatar.

                Sassygirl,

I had a lot of tingling in my lower legs and feet, kind of like pins and needles. Also, some tingling in my face, mosly my lower lip. It lasted for about the first two weeks of taking the topa and mostly went away. I take all the supps and would like to mention that niacin which is part of the B vitamin complex will also cause a very uncomfortable tingling and flush but should go away in about 30 minutes or so. Eventually, you should get used to that also.

                  Sassy,

I only had tingling in my heels which was more annoying than anything else as it used to wake me up in the middle of the night. Someone on MWO once suggested to me to eat bananas to combat it and it worked brilliantly.
