getting ready to start Campral
I am getting ready to start Campral...just wondering how many days AF before I begin. I am a little concerned about the weight gain side effect as I have 50 pounds to lose/25 already lost, but once the alcohol is cut out I know my calorie count will be WAY down. Anything else I should prepare myself for? Do you usually follow the dosage 2x333mg 3x/day starting out?
Thanks for the help.Tags: None

getting ready to start Campral
I started Campral on my 3rd day. My dosage was the same 2, 3 times a day. The only thing I had problems with was gas................and I mean gas!! The dogs would run away from me LOL but that is the way my body reacted.
Campral is wonderful. Good luck and keep us posted!!

Campral is wonderful and will relax you. Don't worry about weight gain, focus on sobriety. Your energy level will improve and the fat should melt away. Think sober.. thats what counts in the start of any regime towards sober life. I am only 12lbs. heavier from last year. :thanks:

getting ready to start Campral
Freelife,
I started Campral 8 days ago. 2/3x per day. I tell you, I love the stuff. I haven't had any negative side effects at all. The great side effects have been decreased appetite and it has taken the edge off of my moods. This is the first time I have used meds and I can't figure out why I didn't do it sooner! Usually my appetite goes crazy for sweets (to make up for the sugar in AL) but now I am almost never hungry and when I eat it seems to take much less to make me feel full. I also have lost that short temper that usually comes with going AF.
I started taking it after 7 days AF. I noticed it working right away. Don't worry about your weight. It will start coming off. I hope the Campral works for you.
I still have cravings but I know that I won't act on them. I also know they will diminish in time. Good luck! Gabby.Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
