so i ordered my Topa! im really excited...also wouldnt mind losing five/ten pounds. is it true that you dont get the joy from food as much so you dont care to eat as much? i have another thing topa will prob help-certaintly binge eating disorder where i cant stop eating and feel out of control. some questions...

im nervous bc i do have insomnia and i hope it doesnt worsen that.. do the side effects tend to go away with some time? or do they stay pretty much permanently?

so im also curious on how topa makes people feel when they drink. do you feel any enjoyment? for example if i go out to a bar one night with my girlfriends. am i gonna feel like im having fun with the help of drinking a little or is there just absolutely NO feeling from alcohol?

and is it true when taking topa for whatever reasoln you just DONT want to drink? and you cant explain it? or do you not want to drink because you just know with the topa you wont feel that nice buzz.

has anyone had insomnia with topa or has it helped sleeping?

My 2 years

Welcome to Topa Land!
I've been taking it almost 2 years. In the same way that it made me forget to be as interested in alcohol I also "forgot" as much interest in food (and lost 20 pounds, back to my college weight). I would describe it as my focus being elsewhere rather than something being lost.
If anything I think I sleep better now, maybe because I'm drinking less. The side effects of tingling fingers and poor spelling have gone away. Some times I still have trouble finding a word (maybe that would be there anyway) and bubbly drinks are still not the greatest.
Drinks with friends are still fun but I am more sober because I drink less. All that is good. I feel better all around. The topa doesn't interfere with the buzz. I can get totally looped if I want to, I just don't really want to--and I find that amazing.
I am so grateful for stumbling across Rita, MWO and topa--changed my life.

I can stop drinking on the topa. and can stop eating, and am losing weight, I am about two months out and am feeling very good, I am drinking much less wine and the quality of my life is up, be sure to drink lot of water. I had issues the first three weeks with tired and nasty,, see my posts,,, but have adjusted.
I love to cook, but my portion size is under control.
I could never spell anyway, so thats not an issue. am up to 50 mg a day, with supps and kudzu.... eshop rx online pharmacy is crashed, I am worried, i need to order today,,, hope they go back up soon.
please give it a try,,,, it has made huge differeence in the quality of life,,, I sleep well at nigt,,, and do not wake up feeling bad about being drunk.....
