Still down. It was up for a short few hours last night. My guess is that it was attacked again last night by Russians or Ukrainians, like RV said. Kind of a shame since Russia has such an alcoholism problem and their own hackers destroy a site that can help so many people there. Really sad. Unless they took the database, translated it, and spread the method over there... fat chance.

Yes. Nalmefene works just as well to extinguish addictions as Naltrexone. It was proven effective right along with Naltrexone in the Finnish clinical trials. Dr. Sinclair believes it to actually be superior to Naltrexone, in that it is not metabolized by the liver and can therefore be taken by someone who has liver damage.

It isn't, to my knowledge, approved for use in the US or anywhere in the world yet though.

It must be highly frustrating and discouraging to those undergoing TSM who have not yet experienced extinction yet, to have the TSM main site offline so much due to persistent hacking activities. I know I needed a lot of encouragement from the TSM community to keep on going during those difficult weeks (weeks 8 through 15 for me).

Once we are back online, I recommend that a strategy be developed for hack events. Also, I feel that the site may be too centralized, although perhaps it ought to be just that for confidentiality reasons. I fear for those not yet "cured" and I'm trying to think of additional ways to keep the community together and growing without burdening RV. He doesn't seem to want anyone else's help and I don't understand why. He has put so much time and effort into this method and the forum and for this I will be forever grateful. There are others that are being helped right now, but some may be or feel lost without backup plans or an alternate site that uses different forum software. Cost is not a concern. There are plenty of HFA's here that have plenty of cash to donate to this cause.
