I am hitting the two month point in two days. I can honestly tell you that this is working. How far it will take me, I cannot tell but I can tell you that I am no longer afraid of alcohol. I now know that if I take Nal first and drink, I will not loose control. I am averaging two to three drinks a day. My wife is estactic too. Life is good.

Thanks SpringerRider, reading your posts over the last couple of weeks has certainly given me the courage to try this. Hoping to get Nal soon and will post my experiences here and on the other site (which I keep up with every day). Delighted this seems to be working so well for you. Cheers.

All this takes times. When you take Nal, you are putting on a parachute and jumping out the door. It's a help of a fall but for now, you need to believe you have a good chute inside. Trust the Nal little grasshopper. The Nal will work. You will get better. Track you drinking so you will see.
Good luck

My dear friend Be, mentioned this method for me to read. I must say I have been ABSORBED!!!! I am finding this facinating! I have been debating abstinence and modding for months, knowing that I don't want to give up my alcohol, and here is a solution! This has brought so much hope for me!!!! I have just bought the book online, and hopefully will be here soon!
Thank you, Be for pointing me in this direction! I have a new found sense of hope and peace!
I look forward to reading more on peoples experiences. This is facinating!AF July 6 2014

WOW - Tis all I can say. I have been off and on this site WAY too long. I have followed the MWO program every step - Topa, CDs, vitamins, and all. I thought Topa was my answer as I had dramatically decreased my drinking and was actually getting in AF days after about 20 something years! I started it last September with great success.
I simply could no longer handle the Topa side effects after 3.5 months. I lost almost 25 pounds, and I didn't need to lose any. Finally my hair started doing funky things too. I looked sicker, felt weaker, could not eat and was destroying my body worse than the booze. I have been so discouraged since mid-December when I had to stop taking it.
Thankfully - AND I THANK MWO once again - another gal who I met on this site and is also doing Topa and still talk to via emails, found this thread this morning! I was even so discouraged to even come back here; but she sent me the link to come back.
Thank you to ALL that have posted this info and the links! I knew there had to be a Plan B - just didn't know what it was! Perhaps this is it?
Still reading, but have read this thread through and jumped to the other site a bit. I am mostly concerned with side effects. I can handle a bit of nausea for the start of it - but what else are any of you experiencing?
Like the Topa, I will be forced to order it from an online pharmacy - I can't risk the information on my health insurance. May I ask if anyone else is doing the same?
I plan on ordering the book today and going from there.
I'll be watching this post for updates daily now. I thank you all again.
