    Topamax without a Prescription?

    Hi everyone.
    :new:

I have bought a starter pack (awaiting delivery - CD, supplements, book) and I have also downloaded the book (impatient).

I'm not from the US and live in Japan so my situation is a little complicated (whose isn't).

I don't have any confidence in discussing medication with a Japanese doctor and possibly even less with an expat foreign doctor here. I have had numerous bad medical experiences with my kids and have a major mistrust for anything medical here. I might talk to my doctor at home about it, if I built my courage up for a while, but I won't be going home for a while and really want to get started. Time is a-wasting - I'm on the wrong side of 40, have lots I want to do and I'm just treading water here, often with my head under.

Think I originally started drinking as an alternative to eating too much - the irony:H! Eating is still an issue (I'm not hugely overweight but have battled all my adult life) and I'm drinking 5 or so nights a week (more on holidays), a bottle or so of wine a night and doubtless loads more when out (counting is scary). Living within a major expat drinking culture, so I'm not at all out of the ordinary: it's fine for everyone to "love a drink", but I don't want to do it anymore. That is, I don't want to waste my mornings, be unproductive, miss out on time with my kids, not be there for them enough, affect my health and fitness, my appearance, etc... the list is quite long, but seemingly not long enough to avoid the allure of the 7pm first glass of wine... and the subsequent 5-6+.

I have now devoured the MWO PDF book (will read it more carefully again later). I've also done a fair amount of online research and I really want to try Topiramate.

There are some companies (River Pharmacy is one) selling Topiramate online without prescriptions. Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

I'm not taking this lightly - I would much prefer to be under the care of a doctor who could monitor my progress. However, I am at the point where I need to start, change, get a move on and I can't justify or afford to get on a plane for a doctor's appointment.

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts. It sounds like quite a few people have had some success with this.

I'm appreciating reading about everyone's successes and setbacks - makes me feel like I'm not the only one.
    :thanks:

    Topamax without a Prescription?

I actually got a script from my dr. but just ordered some backup from river pharmacy b/c I am dosing up a little quicker than my dr. ordered me to do. I'll let you know how the topa compares to what I got from the regular pharmacy here in the states.

congrats on beginning this journey and I hope you find hope through this site.

      Hiya Girl!

      :welcome:
Just seen your posting so hope you don't think you've been being ignored!
If one thing you will have gathered from looking through the website is that you are not alone so you should feel comforted by that first and foremost. I'm in the UK and whilst I should be able to go to my GP (and I do for my anti-depressants) I'm too embarrassed to go about this problem so yes, I've used RIVER for my TOPA. I've found them very good to deal with. They kept me up to date with the order via email and the order came within 14 days so from India to the UK I didn't think that was too bad. I'd recommend them. I'm finding the TOPA is working for me. My consumption of wine in the past is like you - a bottle a day (keeps the doctor away - not!) and all for the wrong reasons. I wasn't socialising every day - I was just a stay at home mum at the end of the day! When I was socialising (or on holiday!) it was far, far more. So, as my eldest is now 9 1/2 I thought I'd have to take myself in hand. I've tackled my depression now and my medication is working and I'm in a far better place now. So the drinking was the next thing. I found KUDZO helped a bit with the cravings but to be honest the TOPA really did it for me and the nice thing is that it doesn't stop you from drinking completely so you don't look totally anti-social (especially in your expat lifestyle!), but it just slows you down. Worth a go - honest! Stick with us, GIRL, it's worth hanging around with us! :l xxx

        Hi everyone.

thanks so much for your replies. :thanks:

As it turns out River are not delivering to Japan right now, so I had to go elsewhere: MedStore, I think? They seem legitimate, in that they ask you why you want the meds and it is then supposedly screened/approved by a doctor, so we'll see.

I"ve started on all the supps, and do feel a bit more balanced already, but at home with 3 sick kids (11 down to 6), and I'm sick too, which hasn't helped. It's easy to fall out of the structure of a normal day and just drift around. Sometimes, I'd happily withdraw and never see anyone really.

Thanks again to all. Thanks Photogirl for your personal reply - really appreciate it....

        Feeling very welcomed...:l

          No Prescription

If River don't deliver to Japan - I think there's a link via the Health Store link on this web-site of a pharmacy or if you delve further into the main Topamax thread that there is an on-line pharmacy I think based in either UK or Hong Kong - so that may deliver to Japan (?!) - worth a try.

You're starting with the supps which is great. Don't try and run before you can walk though especially with 3 sick kids at home and dealing with them when your sick yourself! Get a duvet day! Hooker down with some DVD's and popcorn in your gym-jams, popcorn and slippers!

          Night Night!!!!
