Just been to the open air bar and the waiters, are the same as last year, and greeted me like along lost friend . Now this could be that I am a very sociable chap but more likely that I used to give them a tip to make my tall vodkas very thick , ie loads of vodka and just a splash of coke . They are going to be in for a shock this year as my habits have defiantely changed.
After our meal ,at the local harbour, last night my wife went to bed with our youngest and I went to the outdoor theatre to watch the entertainment with my daughter. I thought for a brief moment about having a drink or 2 and I would never have been caught. However I quickly decided against it .I even found myself dancing with my daughter at the disco..without consuming vast vats of ale.. what was going on there !
I like having these comparisons of same sitautions but differing actions as it gives me a reminder of how I have progressed. I was very proud of myself this morning and my wife was absolutely gobsmacked !!
I have always been quite competative and in a funny way look at it as winning and the pride and compliments as my reward. May sound a bit strange but seems to work for me.
I walked past the shop last night that i used to, last year, make excuses so that I could nip off and buy vodka without my wife knowing . I laughed internally and noted that it could not defeat me ... here I go again !!
Anyway onwards and upwards . I will keep you updated how I get on.

I think I am becoming obsessed with this forum, it just frustrates me that there are not more people on it. I want to shout it out to the world.
Funny off shoot of my obsession is that I think my wife may becoming jeolous that I am having a cyber affair. She said not long ago who the hell is Evie Lou. Little did she know there is only one lady for me and I chuckle as it sounds like Shilla !

Holiday going well and have kept to 2 small beers at 7pm and a glass of win with the meal. My mates family arrive tommorrow so hope my experi,emt with moderation will continue but must admit I am a bit concerned. I knopw I am playing high satkes poker but the outcome will hopefully give results to those that follow.

Friends arrived yesterday afternoon . Managed to stick to 2 small beers before the meal and glass of wine after the meal. At entertainmnet afterwards everyone was drinking alcohol but I had a coffee and water. Nice to be able to join in but not get carried away with the drinking . Hope it continues.
I think I will go back to AF after the hols but it is so nice to have a choice.
