Administrating Baclofen without the person's knowledge?

    IVL,

Antabuse by itself is a very difficult path to take. I tried it and I ended up trying to drink on it. The cure can be worse than the disease. Drinking on Antabuse can kill you.

I have had incredible results with the Baclofen. But, I did want to quit drinking. Very much. I was desperate to quit. And, I was extremely lucky to have a doctor who was willing to work with me using Baclofen. It is a very new therapy and most doctors would just look at you with complete amazement and send you on your way.

I would engage this person in their own recovery. You simply cannot do it. However, you can point them to research on the web and buy them different books, etc.

Ultimately, this person needs to want to find their own way out of this addiction. It can be done and so many here and myself are proof.

I wish your friend the best in this journey. Learning to live without alcohol is so much more than just detoxing and not drinking. It is learning to live again.
