I do have to stress at the moment, my work hours are all over the place. Up at 5am every morning and working through till 10pm at night. Lots of hours. I am dog tired anyway....so spacey is par for the course.

Hey kiwi girl

Hi indiv, nice to meet you, I haven't been here long but interested to know how you got your Bac through NZ customs. I recently ordered some and received a letter from customs saying they wouldn't release it until I gave them a docs certificate. Needless to say, I didn't have one, but 2 weeks later, they posted it to me anyway. I have just ordered more in case, but unsure whether or not I'll actually get it. I don't want to stop, is there an easier way?

The trick to getting the bac is a good GP, one that is supportive of you in your quest to controlling your drinking. Do you have a good GP? I took information to my GP on Bac and asked her to prescribe it, I also told her that I had already titrated up quite high and that it would be dangerous to suddenly stop taking it, and that I needed her to prescrbe it for that reason, because I was due to run out. She was great, she said if it was going to help me then she was all for trying it. She asked that I take responsibilty for what I was doing and to watch the CNS side effects.

Im not fairing to well on the Bac tho, Im currently taking 80mg per day, I need to keep titrating up but the side effects are rather off putting for me and Im afraid I may have to titrate down and come off it, that is only my experience tho, many others have had outstanding success.

I have shared some of the baclofen side effects noted by Individualnz - but transitory and passed within 10 days. Also I have to be careful when I dose and how much. My biggest dose is pre bed time - with 3 other times - 0800, 1300, 1800 and then 2230 -ish.

Coffee has been my side effect antidote and it works pretty well for work situations when I need to be on the ball.

The spacey feeling is fairly minor in my case when compared to being suicidal on alcohol. My anxiety has lessened dramatically.
