Do you still need to use Topomax or do you go back to "regular" life? and use when needed? Or if you use Vivitrol or Naltrexone? I use Topomax as that's what works best for me. My husband is amazed at how immediately it has made a difference (I have been "dry" for three weeks, but we both want to know what life will likely be like when we get to the 12 week point.

After 12 weeks on Topomax?
Naltrexone/Vivitrol has been shown to perform very poorly, espectially after the first few weeks, as an anti-craving med in clinical trials. It is effective with the Sinclair Method, but if you are comfortably abstinent, this method is not for you.
I believe Roberta Jewell addresses whether Topamax is used long-term in her book, which is available here as a download for a small price.

After 12 weeks on Topomax?
What I have read is that most people continue with it (topamax) long term in lower doses. Glad it has worked for you.Comment
