4rx.com - usually arrives in 7 days from placing the order. I tick the $50 delivery option.

I note there is a UK postal strike coming up so maybe this could be dodgy in the near future.

I'm not from the UK, but I'm sure it works the same.

I order from inhousepharmacy, and ask for delivery via FedEx. It arrives within 5 days of ordering, and very discreet compared to the 4RX envelopes - which I also use.

I am in the uk I ordered mine for 4rx , it came quickly not overly happy with the packaging might give in house a try as tip says the packaging is more discreet ! and the only thing i can say tawny is I have been on bac for nearly 3 months now and I now know what it feels like to be a normal person, still getting to grips with the whole al issue but give it a go, it will do you no where near the damage al does and you have a whole lot to gain ! good luck BH x

I've researched the scheduling status of bac. In SA, its what we call an S4 drug. Only available on prescription, but not heavy - one up from OTC. Valium, by comparison, is S6 & Morphine is S7.

I'm sure it'll be similar in the UK.

Its safe, if you do research and plan it well.

I know of one member who started on as little as 2.5mg (1/4 tablet), 3 times a day.

                  Baclofen in UK

Hi, i am taking Baclofen here in UK and am going to switch my order to 4X, ordering online. I am female, about 10 and a half stone and on 165 mg. I now drink 2 glasses of wine a night (and this is a push) and have experienced lots of somnolence but, hey, what was the exhaustion of heavy alcohol consumption like? I'm determined to keep going till I'm AF! This is GREAT! Have strength.
But ... having started, you have to keep going and must reduce dose very slowly, so if the doctor won't prescribe maintenance level baclofen (though doc must put patient's health first), you're in trouble, dependent on the online delivery option. So, as soon as you make one order, think about backing it up very soon.
Apart from that, go really slowly, you'll feel safer. Increase dose on a Friday so you feel you can cope with changes in need to sleep. I started on 25 mg daily, divided into quarters. Phone NHS Direct if you feel baclofen scary but make sure you know the side effects yourself anyway and you quickly get used to spotting them and so can feel calmer and come to understand your body and bac (so no need to call NHS dir). My last order from Quality RX was delayed and I had to ask my GP for help: she refused to believe any of the material I gave her but did seem willing to prescribe but was very reluctant when she took onboard my professed unwillingness to stop/reduce dose. However, she did finally seem to take my cries for help more seriously. I was in slightly weird case of being bulimic too and so couldn't really convince her or AA that i was an alcoholic based on the idea both have that you are defined as such by the amount you consume (so of course bulimics do the whole vomiting thing too). Her main concern seemed to be to make sure I had a blood test as I should have probably had one of these before starting to check kidney function. This you can request anyway from doc on general grounds of checking health.
And remember, you are not alone. In small corners of the UK there are other people who will think of you. :goodjob:

                          Bac In the UK

                          Hi Betty,

I live in N.I. and got my bac from inhousepharmacy-uk...bought 2 x 100 10mg tablets for I think ?37 odd...and it arrived 10 days later, I find this site very reliable in terms of delivery. I'm not sure if goldpharma or 4rx are cheaper but just thought I would give you another avenue to explore. Inhouse also provide shipping free of charge and there is no need to pay any customs charges on arrival. The package also fits nicely through the letter box so no need to run to the Royal Mail office with a failure to deliver notice etc.

Best of luck with the bac...I too have just started so will view the boards regularly to see how everyone is getting on!

                            Baclofen in the UK anyone???

Hi again everyone, sorry it has taken so long to post but like has been really hectic!!! anyway the bac has indeed been a miracle for me, I am now up to 70mgs daily and while I cant say that it has taken my cravings away totally I certainly dont obsess about booze the way I used to, and I am also sooo relaxed and sleeping really well. I have experienced the weird dreams and night sweats but because I was expecting them after reading so much here then I haven't been scared. So far so good my dear friends.... how is everyone else doing??

                            Love & Hugs, BB xx

                              Baclofen in the UK anyone???

                              hello again

Hi, I was wondering how you were! That's great you are up to 70 mg. It's very weird, isn't it? I haven't been able yet to push myself physically beyond this amount - but I do intend to. Like you, I still have some cravings and still do the alcoholic room survey of booze availability but Baclofen just makes it impossible to do much more. I'm experimenting a little with moving around dose time to see if that changes alcoholic thoughts but because of huge work commitments, don't get the opportunity to risk the somnolence - I was working with someone the other day and was aware of passing out for little 30 second fragments! I think it's good to work out when you are more vulnerable to drinking and cluster the doses around that? Have you tried?
Weird side effects: longing for sugar; ridiculous sex drive; bleeding gums; night sweats; nose feels as if it's going to bleed imminently or is being trepanned; feel moody and intractable - we live in such a funny country in the UK too. It's strange that this website, so far away in the US feels like only safe place ... I phoned the AA for the first time ever here about 6 weeks ago and they had never heard of baclofen and then my doctor insisted I have tests when I told her I was taking baclofen and called me incessantly for one day when she thought I might need them to prescribe baclofen for me (remember, i was running out) and, since then, have I heard from her? Not a squeak. As soon as she knew I'd got my own supply, not one attempt to contact me.
So it is nice to know that you are out there somewhere BB!
