I didn't have a doc at all, nor any insurance, until I called one of my students from a long time ago who has since become a D.O., and told her I needed a scrip for bac. She agreed, but intelligently insisted that I come in and "become a patient." I took all of the reports from the back of Dr. Ameison's book to leave with her and took the book along so she could look at it. She asked to keep the book, too! I was so-o-o-o-o happy . . . and now I actually have a doctor, too! Baclofen rocks!!!!!!!

Red,
That is SO awesome! Good for you!!! I hope my dr's visit goes that well. I know she isn't a big fan of prescribing off-label, but I also know she wants to help and she isn't close minded, and is very up on research and studies.
If I go in armed with info, she will be ok, I think. lol...
Thanks for the links and the info guys!!!AF July 6 2014

It is from 7pm-8am, YUCK, but it is better than unemployment, right!? I mean, I might like it, getting home as Mike leaves for work, could be cool, and having EVERY day off!?!? Could suck, but won't know until I try it, right???
Just glad to have baclofen!!!

Even if it's not a great job, it's a job, and who knows, it may turn out ok, or it may lead to something else, or you may love it. But you got another job fast, and that's amazing. I think I need to find out what field you're in, since I am currently for all intents and purposes unemployed (teaching freelance for a pittance with no benefits doesn't count as employment).
But for you --:yes2:Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

For those of you using Baclofen.... Questions????
MA,
Yes, there is a reason for all your suffering. We all suffer with addiction. You can use your knowledge and your RN credentials to help others....do it! Maybe it is Your life purpose. You are in a good position to help..I don't know what my purpose is yet....even though I've suffered much with this addiction. It almost seems like the amount of time I spend researching everything there is to know about addiction, I should be a frikkin Doctor by now...LOL
Everything I need is within me!
