      Thanks OO, this is a great thing and very important. I hope everyone on Bac, or any other medication will do this. I had been planning to do so for some time, but this makes it so easy, I will do it NOW.

      I'm surprised more people haven't responded to this thread, but then again, 32 people have read it, and I guess it did not really demand a reply, being just an informative thing.

          Just read this thread and it has highlighted a concern I had should anything happen to me , but know this sounds silly can you get into trouble for taking unprescribed meds obtained online ??? have wanted to tell my doctor what I have been doing but have not for the same reason ! will get and ice card though

            Hi again just clicked on the ICE link and its a good idea but my only misgiving is putting all that personal info onto a web site god knows where it could end up. So would it not be easier to just make a card up yourself using the ICE link as a proformer and then just fill it out yourself ?

              Those are good points for those people who are using a med "undercover"
              I had no qualms about making the card and there was no other solicitation as a result of my information, but if someone has good reason to not do that, sure, copy the red medical alert symbol and make your own card, good idea.

                  I've done it: just used my average daily dosage divided by three, so that it will make sense to "normal" medical professionals. Will print a new one as I titrate down (which I am sad to say is taking much longer than titrating up).

                  At my next visit, I'll ask my psychiatrist for a prescription, just to keep in my wallet. He knows I'm ordering from inhouse, and is happy that I keep on doing so.

                  I also keep at least a month's supply on standby, just in case.

                  My wife knows where I keep my bac diary, and will be able to refer to it. I record every dose, and the time of day I take it. I know: I may stand accused of being obsessive, but so be it. Having found my sobriety, I need to protect it.

                    being obsessive has its negatives (as we all know) and its positives. We must be allowed to revel in the positives.

                      good tip there tip ! now that I have tirated down to a lower level i just take what I feel I need depending on whats going on usually 10mg x 2 and 25 mg x 1 but more if I feel i need it, but logging what i take would keep a better track of it and make ordering in advance easier, just loving the life it gives me and want to hang on to that !!! go bac go !!!

                        I have a copy of another medical card. The problem about this is I can not use this to access free medical assistance for my kids. It's a good thing to know that we already have this medical alert card. I have been suffering from allergies from food that I take. Now, I can use that wherever I go.

                          I just clicked the Ice link, its a good idea. It is really good points for the people who are using a medical undercover. This thread would really help me alot on my medications.
