Thank you for welcoming me. I have always drunk too much through anxiety and stress. But I lost my husband just before Christmas, and now I am lonely and lost. I know that my drinking is going to kill me. I don't want that. I have lovely children and a lot to live for. My doctor is hopeless. I live in London. Does anyone know where i can get any help in the UK?

PR, I will PM you - I went through something similar after my husband died.

At 55, I'm struggling with all of this. Although, I have to say that e-mails are a great thing when you're on your own.
By the way, 60 going on a hundred is just a saying here!! Although I feel 60 going on a 100 right now.

Hello again
This part of this site doesn't seem to get a lot of replies or posts. I've had some lovely private replies from two of you. A great help.
Should I be somewhere else on mywayout? It seems so massive. I really don't have a clue where I am in it.
Thank you.

There is a new web site for the UK at Home - Baclofen UK.
It has all sorts of information relevant to the UK.
It even has a comment.
"I am absolutely delighted to have learned about this new site.
I wish it every success!"BACLOFENISTA

Olivier Ameisen
In addiction, suppression of symptoms should suppress the disease altogether since addiction is, as he observed, a "symptom-driven disease". Of all "anticraving medications used in animals, only one - baclofen - has the unique property of suppressing the motivation to consume cocaine, heroin, alcohol, nicotine and d-amphetamine"

ok, it's not so far down on the forum, but bump anyway.Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

The bump stakes are high and rising quickly.
I place my next bet in the name of Otter.Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
