Can Kudzu or L-Glutamine allow me to control my addiction?

    Dear board,

Is there such a supplement that will help me control my drinking? Do they really work and are they worth the money?

    Thank you.

    Hey keyners! :welcome:

Many here have used those supplements to help control cravings with success. Since you posted in the medication forum, I'd like to point out to you that there are a couple of medications that are highly effective at controlling cravings or even removing them permanently from your brain. Here are a couple of links:

Hey keyners - have you read the threads in the Holistic Healing topic area? I bet if you post this question over there you'll get a much better response.

I have found that L-glutamine powder goes a long way for taking the edge off.

I found L-Glutamine EXTREMELY effective to deal with binge eating. It seems to control excellent the sugar craving.

I do not have experience with use in combination with dealing with alcohol addiction.

Try Baclofen, it actively reduces the craving and you will feel a lot better!

          since 22. May 2010 : Baclofen against anxiety/fear
          since 14. Mar 2011 : off Baclofen - taking 25mg Topamax/day

Craving - I noticed that, too!!

L-glutamine is a powder that is sold in health stores. It's used by bodybuilders.
