    Baclofen and exercise

Thanks, Phoenix!! I'm just looking for something to jump start my weight training/strength routine. I got the cardio down but usually avoid the weight training piece like the plague. Not a good thing, I know--which is why I thought kettlebells would be a cool thing to look into!

These increases while I'm in a calorie deficit could be due to muscle memory. If they continue beyond this week, however, then something is afoot.
Wow, LoOp!! That's so crazy. do you really think it's the bac???

Lo0P - I am experiencing the same thing in my weightlifting that you have - I am lovin' it!

How much cardio do you do (if any)?

What is your workout schedule? I assume you do splits?

              Baclofen and exercise

Currently I'm squatting 275 lbs for sets (plural) of 20

              That is beyond insane.

I used to be a cardio junkie doing 45 minutes of LISS every morning. I don't think it's necessary anymore and now I do none at all, I just eat about 450kcal less a day if I'm trying to cut fat.

Lately I've been following a lot of principles discovered by Martin Berkhan of Intermittent fasting for fat loss, muscle gain and health

He's an absolute genius who dispels the myths that we all thought were true about fitness. I no longer eat breakfast. I have my first meal around 2 pm everyday. I only eat 2-3 meals a day. I no longer believe there is any difference between "clean" food and "dirty" food and eat things like white bread, pasta, ice cream, bacon and cereal every single day.

All this and I am sitting comfortably at 165-170 lbs and 9% bodyfat with a gnarly six-pack to prove it.

I only exercise 4x in 8 days for a total of about 2 1/2 hours a week and that's it.

Absolutely frickin' unbelievable I know, but if I told anyone there were a cure for alcoholism they'd probably laugh in my face too! :H

I usually eat 2 or 3 meals a day in between 2-10pm and then fast through sleeping (of course) and don't eat until 2 the next day. I ate 5-6 meals a day prior to doing this and can't believe how much time and tupperware I wasted prior to discovering this!

Check out the site I linked to.

On the contrary no! It's called hormonal entrainment. You get hungry when you are used to eating. Your brain's hormones are on a 24 hr clock. If you are used to eating breakfast then you get hungry then, if not you don't. It took me a few days to get used to but now it's a very easy pattern for me to follow.

Huh. I may try this. I may choose 10-6 as my 8 hour window. I'd then likely eat at 10, 1 and 6. Thanks, Lo0p!

I swear it works! I'm baking brownies right now!!! Real brownies!!! I'm gonna eat 5 of them to get my post workout carb allotment of 140g of carbs......AND THAT'S TO BURN fat!. I'd eat 8 or 9 to build muscle without gaining fat!

Read that website I linked you too. You've got to have a decent familiarity with calories and grams of macros (pro/carb/fat) in order to make it work for you but other than that it's pretty simple.

Oh no! Don't go there! I used to weigh a hefty 210lbs @ probably 30%+ bodyfat. It's not because I'm a guy and I am certainly no genetic freak! Naturally I'm a little chubby.

And for whoever else might be listening: I don't care how old you are! I take diet and exercise tips from people older than you!!
