    Has Baclofen affected your smoking?

I've only been on it for a few weeks, and am still at a low dose (45mgs per day) but my smoking has gone down from around 25 cigarettes a day to about half that!

Has anyone else noticed a similar effect?

My smoking hasn't been affected at all! I smoke WAY too much. I wish it worked that way for me!

Nope. I smoke a lot, Baclofen or not.

      Lots and lots and lots.

I am tired of smoking this much.

I truly wished the Baclofen helped that.

Nope. I initially smoked somewhat less - but probably only because I was also drinking less (the two seem to be closely tied to each other).

I am now smoking as much as I used to, even while I'm on 300mg p.d. of Wellbutrin (Zyban). I take Wellbutrin as an anti-depressant, not because I want to stop smoking, by the way. If you don't want to stop, you're going to smoke, despite meds.

I'd love to stop smoking, and once I've managed to get off the booze for a while it's a real priority to try, but it just seems to have lost its appeal since I started the low dose Bac, very strange. Wish it was doing the same for my drinking!

Initially it didn't do anything to reduce my smoking... I smoked the same amount.

However, I started the patch on July 10th because I wanted to quit again for a long time and thought I'd give it a go. In the past, I've done the 21mg patch for 4 weeks, then 14mg for 2 or 3 weeks, then the 7mg for another 2. I've quit several times in the past, the longest lasting 3 years.

Today, I am completely off any patch (less than a month total!) and have absolutely no desire for a cigarette or patch. I felt the withdrawal from nicotine, but it is/was in no way making me want to smoke.

Amazing! Thanks Baclofen! What else will this magical little pill do for me?!

Not at all. After all I've been through and all that I've overcome I still smoke like a fiend and am gonna die of cancer. Either from cigarettes or from the massive doses of Splenda that I eat. :H

I know a guy who stopped smoking within a few weeks of starting bac. He wasn't expecting to but it just happened and he is glad as he is quite poor and needs the money for himself and family
