      Mabelee,
I had a lot of trouble focusing my eyes on the music and notes were swimming all over the page.
      Just a note hear
, bad pun, couldn't help it as you're a musician.
Side effects with your vision can be very serious.

Thankfully, my vision hasn't bothered me since that one day! I think I just took too much initially, and the last dose was too late. I've been taking my last dose at 5:00 p.m. and that has helped me feel a lot more alert in the morning as well.

usually once you are used to a dose and do not change it up or down, all side effects dissapear (usually after 3-7 days depending on the person)

When I was twelve years old, I slipped on the ice when I was out feeding chickens. I was carrying a bucket of feed in one hand and a bucket of water in the other, so when I fell, I fell hard and cracked my tailbone. I could hardly bear to sit for about a year afterward, after which time it didn't bother until about 10 years ago, when I began experiencing a spastic coccyx, which normally wakes me up a couple of times a week in the middle of the night with excruciating spasms. Since I've started on the Baclofen, I haven't had a single episode. I did some research and found that Baclofen can be prescribed for this condition. I've decided I'm going to go to my doctor and see if he'll prescribe Baclofen for me. I've been concerned about ordering online for a host of reason, among them, continued availabilty, consistency of medications, traveling overseas without a valid prescription, etc. Anyway, wish me luck!

yes indeed mabelee - Baclofen is mainly prescribed for that.

when you wake up in the night with pain of spasm then baclofen has corrected that.

not sure on what dose you are on. maybe the doctor will only prescribe up to 80mg/day

                  Second Week Progress

Day; mg of Bac; US units
                  Day 1; 37.5 mg; 4
                  Day 2; 37.5 mg; 4
                  Day 3; 37.5 mg; 4
                  Day 4; 37.5 mg; 4
                  Day 5; 37.5 mg; 4
                  Day 6; 37.5 mg; 3
                  Day 7; 37.5 mg; 2

Had a couple more days less than 4 units. I think I would have had less, except that I experienced quite a few side effects from jumping up too fast and found that as soon as I had a drink all the side effects would disappear. The last couple of days I've felt much better, and I can really see that I'm starting to lose a little interest. Last night I even poured a third drink, took a look at it and poured it out. I'm going to stay at 37.5 mg for a couple more days before titrating up again.

Still sleeping like a baby, though. One additional side effect: I usually read for 15-20 minutes at night before going to sleep. Now I read a paragraph or so before passing out. It will take a long time to finish a book at this rate!

Your body will soon adjust to the SE of Baclofen. I like the numbers. So one week on Baclofen and your US units have HALVED !!
