    Who's up for a bac Challenge?

    This is my first ever contact with any sort of soc.net site.I'm a bit nervous don't want to post a load of bs. Finally found a doc to prescribe bac, today is my first day. I was a bit nervous about taking it, which is crazy when i know how dangerous alcohol is. I am starting on 3x5mg and will increase it in three days. Wish me luck.

        Who's up for a bac Challenge?

        welcome Budda, today is day 3 for me AF and a week on the bac, today has been a tough day, have had to really struggle not to go buy wine but I am determined. Great job SOS! today I did 2.5 this am and 5 and 5. Probably should have taken hopings advice and done 10 when I got home from work. I will do 5 5 10 tomorrow. The weekends are tougher.

          How are you making out? I am currently at 20-20-20, I doubt I will go any higher, I have no reason to - at this point. Yes I am taking it 3 times a day, I dont know if I would want to take it in one dose for two reasons: (1) i think that it is important to let it do it's work all day and not just at crunch time and (2) it may hit you really hard trying to take a big dose all at once.
          Anything you need, please dont hesitate to ask, I want you to be succesful! Let us know how you are doing, good or bad.

            You have to the best social network possible for this type of problem. Here you will find only love and support from an amazing group of people. Is your bac perscribed or bought on the internet? 5-5-5 is the best way to go, then bump it up a little. What was/is your drinking pattern? If you dont feel comfortable talking about that right now, it is ok.

              Thanks for asking......unfortuntely not as good as you. I'm still drinking wine. Taking bac 10mg. 3 x day. I have topimax and campral in the house from when I tried that last year.Not sure if I should stick with bac alone or try and add topimax or campral.

                  Welcome, Bubba! You truly have found a great site! We all try to take care of one another here. Don't be ashamed to share any of your feelings. We will be here for you regardless of what you are going through, because chances are, we've been there ourselves. My doctor recommended the same dosage for me. Today I started on 10 mg 3 x day and I felt pretty tired, but most likely, we will get better adjusted to it. I don't have any cravings whatsoever TODAY, but we all have to take it one day at a time stay strong in the moment. I've tasted the sober life and I love it and I am becomer stronger everyday! I don't feel there is anyone or anything that can make me drink again! Best of luck to you!

                    Who's up for a bac Challenge?

                    I'm thinking of stopping the bac. I am so tired and groggy all day. I have no desire for alcohol but i didn't before I started the bac. I think today I will go back to the 15 mg a day to see if I feel any better. I don't like this feeling of being drugged up. Does it pass? Do ya'll recommend me cutting back or cutting out?

                          Who's up for a bac Challenge?

                          Restarting on baclofen today. Think I will just stay with the 15 mg per day. My husband bought a bottle today and just knowing it is in the house has me so nervous! I am 10 days AF! I only quit the baclofen for 1 day so hopefully it is still in my system. Hoping, need advice and encouragement.

                            Get back on the Bac today, I know what you mean, my daughter is having her bridal portraits tonght and she bought a bottle of wine so have a glass before. It is very tempting but I am trying very hard. You can do it sobs

                              Hello everyone!

                              I am up for the challenge! Going on my thrid day of AF and loving/hating it. I still have cravings but I am keeping them under control for now. I ordered my Bac online so I should see it in a week or so, but I needed to get a jump start anyway. My sweet wonderful new husband is going to go AF with me for a while too even though he isn't a problem drinker. I love the support here; even though I am new I feel very welcome! Let's do it!

                                you will love the support here. I have to admit today is my 6th day and I did cheat and have a glass of wine tonight. It just kind of happened. It was one but it was still cheating. I am not being consistent with my bac and I know I need to be. I am not going to be too hard on myself. tomorrow is a new day and I will finally go up to 10 10 10, i have only gone to 5 5 5, never actually made it up to a 10mg dose even though my dear friend hoping recommened I do.
