      appetite and topa

No sorry - I feel fine on Topa - I feel no different to normal - I have decided that I am one of those folk who get no side effects with it!! I take my evening dose fairly early otherwise it is harder to get up the next morning which is unusual for me, but otherwise no trouble with being tired. I wasn't aware that this was a side effect either. Sorry guys.
How simple it is to see that we can only be happy now and there will never be a time when it is not now....

Thanks MB. I feel achy too. I wind up taking a couple doses of 500mg aspirin a day just for aches and pains around the shoulders and back. I'll post here and let you know if 2 weeks off helps. I'm doing this on my own -- not seeing my doc and have been ordering the topirimate thru the internet. Keep me posted on how you are feeling.

          appetite and topa

I'm about 4 weeks on the topa and feeling really tired........hoping it will pass. I'm also really overworked too, though, so that could be the problem. I find I'm going to bed and sleeping hard for about 8 to 8 and 1/2 hours and still tired! I was achy and had head aches too. That passed.
          :h getting better every day

            appetite and topa

i was so tired the first few weeks then instantly i just felt amazing. i think you may have gone up to fast for your body size or tolerence level. i was taking 5mg at night for a week and was out then 100 mg, i just now week three take 50mg morning and 50 mg evening. i was definantaly so tired and having cravings till week three it all just clicked. i am going to my doctor to try to up my dose to 50mg morning and 100mg night, i dont have the book so just going by how i feel. hope you stick with it

                appetite and topa

At the advice of a friend who just finished some CNA training, she said definitely DO NOT stop topa COLD TURKEY as it could be dangerous. Do my research first. So I did this morning and pretty much what I found out was that I should ramp down pretty much the same as I ramped up. Maybe I did ramp up too fast for my body size. I'm not a big girl. I'll start going down tomorrow, keep up with the supplements, etc. and try and get some energy going so at least I can have enough energy to get some exercise in. Thanks you guys for letting me know that I was not alone in my experience. It will help that tax season is almost over (I'm a CPA). Don't know about the rest of you, but I look forward to my hypno tape time. Seems like 1/2 the time I fall asleep in the middle and wake up not remembering hearing the count down! I definitely feel the topa helps with the cravings but I was beginning to feel if it was worth the side effects.

Anyway, to the rest of you doing this on your own and anticipating any changes from the book, research the net first!!!!! Have great day everyone. :h
