Sleepyness: Unsafe to ride motorcycle on Baclofen?
Hi rope, I'm a newbie on bac (90mg) but I will share my experience. The first few days/week I did experience marked drowsiness, but not all day. I do remember driving a few times with the sun on my face and literally feeling like I was going to fall asleep. I would stop riding the bike until you know how bac affects you -- not that driving a car is a great idea either, but I think motorcycles are more dangerous, at least for the rider. I don't have the somnolence anymore, just a bit of nausea. Good luck!

I've had to be a bit careful about driving on Bac when feeling trancey or sleepy, even avoiding driving altogether at times. I'm super-sensitive to all meds though, and also take diazepam, which has it's own sleepy and spacey effect.
You'll get a feel for how it affects you over the first few weeks, especially when you increase dosage. If you know you absolutely have to drive and you think it might affect you best to take it later on.I don't come here much anymore but you can always mail me at rotunda 2000 at hotmail dot com (no spaces). Might be able to help with Bac emergencies

Be careful. I had very few side-effects until I hit 180. In fact, I was wondering if I had ordered a dud batch...
But boy, when the somnolence hit, it did so in a big way. One day, when I was on 240mg, I fell asleep in rush-hour traffic and drove into the back of the car in front of me.
It was a combination of the effects of insomnia (I envy those who say they sleep well on bac) and the somnolence caused by the high-dose bac.
Even having titrated down, I still wish I can sleep, though :upset::upset::upset:
The good thing is that all traces of bac-induced somnolence have disappeared.I'll do whatever it takes

I wish Spuds! Ever since I stopped drinking / started taking high-dose bac, sleep has eluded me... On a very good night, I get 5 hours if I'm lucky. And I'm on less than half the dose of bac I took when I hit the switch.I'll do whatever it takes

And I was stupid enough to tell my psychiatrist I'm an alcoholic. I went to him for my sleep problems, but wanted someone who would treat me despite the self-prescribed bac. Needless to say, he has refused to prescribe a sleeping pill...
Then again, maybe that's not a bad idea to stay away from them. Although I never had a liking for drugs other than AL.
Apologies for rambling on your thread, rope (must be the lack of sleep causing it)I'll do whatever it takes
