Virgil, I understand how frustrated you are and everyone else is on using BAC. Thank you on alerting me not to use a letter in posting an email address and with that I also want to say if Dr. Ameisen or Dr. Levin posted how to take BAC to the general public here on MWO would there be a law suit if someone got very ill, much less irresponsible of them to even do it in the first place without knowing about the patient? I promised Dr. Levin I wouldn't say on here how he prescribe the Bac for me and he agreed to give out his phone number to help those who wanted it. It's killing me to hear what has been said about him when this man has gone so far above his obligation to me and during a time when I'm having some other issues that he's helping me with. All I can say is that Dr. Ameisen speaks very highly of Dr. Levin, so if you need help I would suggest calling him and being patient because he's just on man and so many of us. I wish the medical establishment was further down the road with prescribing Bac so all of us weren't the rats trying to find their way out.

O.K. Someone wanted to know if anyone had been in contact with Dr. Levin. Looks like Corkit, Cinders, Manlooking4nothing, bravehearted, Jenn, and RV4 have all had success with contact by telephone; and seem happy with response. I have only tried once by tel. and am waiting to call when I have question.
It seems good advice would be to keep trying by telephone at the hours suggested. His general advice seems to tritate up slowly to avoid/lessen side effects. Thanks to all of you for sharing info. I realize it will probably differ with each of us.
Jack, my husband, is doing amazingly well and has very slowly tritated up to 30 mg and will stay on that until he sees his psychiatrist again. Nothing has been so successful so far. Just a bit of dizziness.
Wow! So happy for this forum!

I wonder on what basis Dr Levin arrived at this conclusion. It would be good to know if he has published his findings in a scientific journal. As you have a dialogue going with him, how would you feel about probing this a little further?

The next time I talk with Dr. Levin, I will ask him about this. I don't mind at all.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to 'phone him from the UK. I e-mailed him three days ago and it didn't bounce but I've not heard back yet. However, he is clearly a very busy man - so it's early days.

It's now eight days since I e-mailed Dr Levin but, as yet, no reply. However, I remain hopeful.

Hi Virgil - call him- do a bottle drive and buy a phone card - phone cards are pretty affordable for overseas calls. He's really busy during the day but very reachable in the evenings. If you really want to start this program - get started!! One telephone call has got to be less expensive than a bottle of alcohol no?

                Go for it!

                  Thank you susanna.

Virgil I haven't heard of anyone getting an email back from Dr. Levin, he's written many papers, books, teaches and his email shows up on google so the chances of him answering his emails is slim to none. He also works all day and is taking calls in the evening from all of us desperate people, so it seems his time is spent but I could be wrong. Please call him.

                        Susanna, corkit & CG,

Thanks for the feedback about low-cost options for 'phoning the USA. I hadn't realized those options were available.

Then there is the time difference. I am 7 hours ahead of Dr. Levin, which means I can't call him until 2:30 a.m. and then who knows if he'll answer and when he'll get back to me? Will I have to stay up for 2 hours waiting? Will I have to wait by the phone each night from 2:30a.m. until 4:30a.m.? Does anyone know how this works?
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

beatle, I'm sorry about you having to stay up to 2:30, wish there was a better answer for you. If he's on the phone when you call hopefully you'll get a busy signal and you'll just have to call back. I'm sure if you tell him where you're from he will either know a doctor by you or he'll help you himself. Please just call what do you have to lose but a little frustration? I've never heard anyone say they had problems when they called him. Call between 7:30pm - 9:00pm Central Time, Chicago. I think his wife is a saint who must be very understanding when she doesn't get him to herself very much!

Good luck let us know what happens
