    I was not expecting this

I have a question, please bear with me...

I have had hyper mobility of my joints since my late teenage years. Since my early twenties it has not been a problem as i built up the muscle in the most high risk areas, my shoulders.

This morning on waking after my fourth day on Bac I had a terrible pain on my right shoulder, as i got out of bed my shoulder 'popped out ' for the first time in more than 20 years. I managed to get it back in with some pain, it aches likes hell now if i lift the arm. All very familiar from my youth.

As showered this evening i realised why, my muscles are much loser all over my body.

Now i have the build the muscle again, is this possible on the early days of Bac. Either that or face the prospect of waking with a dislocated shoulder on random mornings.

On the upside i know the Bac i have got is the real deal!

I certainly can't advise you to do anything with your condition. That said, I've been weightlifting almost the entire time that I've been taking baclofen and I haven't noticed anything even remotely like a muscle relaxant effect from it.

I shudder to think of the possibility of injury when mixing weightlifting and a condition like yours with the effect that baclofen has on your muscles.

What do you usually do to build them up?

        Hi Lo0p

        Thanks for the swift reply

Yes i have seen you post and pics, very inspiring, but i was wondering about the first few days, i have started the old exercises, nothing more than pushing against the wall from my hand, standing sideways on without the arm being extended. That way there is zero pressure on the ligaments but strain on the shoulder muscles. No risk of harm, but i wondered if it's likey to work on the early days.

        Thanks

I don't see why not. What would be different in the early days?

Bac did not make my muscles relax when I was awake. What I did notice though is when I slept my body would go very lax. Sometimes I would wake up with various aches because I had slept very soundly in an awkward position. Could it be that you slept on your shoulder wrong then hurt it before you had a chance to stretch it out?
