..i found this site by accident...i've been using 'Baclofen' since 2008 for a
'brain disease'..I made contact with a Dr.Ameisen(via email) and we swapped ideas
with my condition and his..

mine is Cerebral Atrophy/his is Alcoholism...Bingo...am i glad that his message
is now out there..

I also have now stopped drinking n' smoking because i look drunk,anyway..LOL..

..It will be nice to tell/read all our stories..:thanks:...Ozy..

..hi beatle...

..i'm takin' 1x 10mg tablet...3 times(every 8 hours) per day..
..so..30mg per day..total..

.Baclofen relaxes my muscles so that i can walk n' use my hands without lookin'
like a 'puppet-show'...lol..i have absolutely no side affex!!!

..now!!with regards to alcohol..if i drink(only 1 glass of anything)..i appear to be,
paraletic and often get questioned by onlookers etc..so,i have no choice even thou
i love a drink....sheese..

..the Bac has been great 4 me..ican do some work..don't drink and it doesn't
bug me..n' get this!!i've now quit 'smokin'..egads!!!..

..so, if i don't live long..it sure as hell gonna seem like it..LOL..Ozy..

That's not very much compared to Dr. A's dosage and the general protocol for combatting alcoholism (around 2-5mg/kg). But you have a different problem, of course.

OZ, did the baclofen help you to stop smoking? It did absolutely nothing for me, despite going as high as 270mg per day...

Neither did Wellbutrin do the trick.

Grrrrrr.....
