    insomnia poll

    hello all,
    just wondering if any of those that have reached "the switch" still suffer from insomnia. i,ve read that anxiety, insomnia, addictions all act on the same nueral pathways. please comment even if you haven,t reached the switch.
    also, how about some natural remedies for insomnia.
    i exercise, eat right, take vitamin c in large doses, take fish oil, and still wake up after 4 hours. insomnia seems to come and go regardless of caffiene intake, stress, massive exercise,etc.
    wondreing if bac would help with insomnia?:thanks:

    After a few months of sleepiness on the bac I noticed my baseline insomnia returning. I then tried to take the larger dose of bac at bedtime or thereabouts. I have now tapered down to 10 mg/night mostly to help me sleep. I am thinking that tonight I will not take it and see as I have been AF for 8 months and have 0 cravings since first pill and am only on the 10 mg at night.
    "natural" sleep enhancers for me included melatonin 3-6 mg. Although not "natural" i also occasionally used benadryl or equivalent. I am avoiding any benzos for obvious reasons.
    I never knew about a switch until I joined this forum. Just didn't drink. That means it worked for me.
    Such a relief to have my life back and be able to exercise my judgment.
