    Removing postings WARNING

I was in the process of trying to remove my postings. It is quite right that when a journalist becomes involved one fears that one is going to be dragged into some public forum. This site is for people who wish to remain anonymous and for good reason. It is very damaging for one to find out that others are starting to report one to various authorities when one is trying only to help others.

Actions done in desperation are not always well thought out. If the moderators of this forum wish to remove the Dosage and Frequency posts, on medical or legal advice, I have no objection to that. I would not want anything I have done to harm anyone or result in any action against anyone who might be considered to have given medical advice in relation to my posts.

However, I have decided to leave my posts as they are simply because they reflect something which happened and cannot be taken back.

Again, if the moderator/owners of this site feel that the thread needs to be removed or dealt with in some other way to protect the public, that is a matter for them.

I still believe in free speech and the right of the individual to access to information and knowledge, particularly when it relates to such an important subject as alcoholism.

In addiction, suppression of symptoms should suppress the disease altogether since addiction is, as he observed, a "symptom-driven disease". Of all "anticraving medications used in animals, only one - baclofen - has the unique property of suppressing the motivation to consume cocaine, heroin, alcohol, nicotine and d-amphetamine"

    Please leave the posts there.

As you said they at worst reflect something that happened and I abhor censorship of any kind.

Whilst on my soap box I would urge people not to remove their post even if they feel they shouldn't have placed them in the first place. I have come across several threads which refer back to a particular post only to find it's been removed. Completely negates my reasons for reading : knowledge.

Otter, you have no choice but to leave your posts there - the thread has been closed.

Please, knock off the drama, stop calling me a "journalist" - which is actually a lie, and stop pretending that anyone is out to get anyone!

Who pointed your doc to that thread, Otter? It surely wasn't me. Was it you?

The paranoia surrounding all this speaks for itself. Get a grip.

My god... I guess I've missed a lot in a week or so. Hope everyone is alright & I'm looking forward to posting my Bac story in the consolidated success thread by the end of the year.

We both know that it is tough. Sites like this are sometimes fantastic and sometimes hard.
Anything, and everything, you have posted is worthy of keeping and re-reading.
Which is more than can be said for my postings!!
