Or must you speak with your doctor and get a prescription? If people are ordering online what would be a safe site to use? I have never bought medicine online and am fearful of being sold duds or having my credit card details stolen, I am very naive in such matters.

I was thinking of trying naltrexone or baclofen, if they gave me some support it would be worth it.

You can get them online, an awful lot of people here do. Imo, the best site to buy them from depends on where you are based. If you are in the US I'd recommend River pharmacy as it's based in Canada. Or if you are in an EU country Goldpharma is a great option as if the medication you are ordering sells as OTC in an EU country they send it from there and you won't get caught for a customs charge.

I am the US and I order from Goldpharma, I haven't ordered in a few months but at the time I think their prices were slightly better than River and their delivery is fairly prompt, usually no more than 8 -10 business days.

+1 for Goldpharma to the US. River has a great reputation but they can be prohibitively expensine. Goldpharma is cheap and fast. Alldaychemist is also good, but slow. InHouse was/is good, depending on whether or not they've gotten around that Bush cronie defamation bullshit.

Yes, you can order these meds online with a very reasonable expectation of safety, privacy and quality. I get my meds prescribed now and dispensed from a US pharmacy, but they are still manufactured India. :H I've seen no difference in quality. I feel my privacy has been compromised a little bit, as now alcoholism is on my medical record. This can be a major no-no when applying for many things, like medical or life insurance.

Is anyone finding that Baclofen is more expensive than Topiramate ?
I have only just started to research this, but it seems to me if you are taking the 10mg tabs, and are on some of the higher doses, which many people are, it must be costing a small fortune ???

At least in the US, if you can get a prescription for bac, It's really cheap. I pay $6 for 90 10 mg pills. When I was on topa, I ordered through River Pharm, which is expensive anyway. I can't quite figure that out - pharm companies in the US say that they have to charge a lot to pay for research. Then they sell at a deep discount to other countries, who then sell the stuff back to people in the US with a hugh mark-up. But I digress. I know that I paid a lot more for the topa (which I believe ultimately came from India) than I am paying for the bac (who knows where it's ultimately coming from).

Count in the eventual savings of not spending $600 a month on booze (that's an easy average for me), and it looks like quite a bargain.

Absolutely correct Tracy.
I have been balking at the cost of meds/supps for 18 months now, and have consequently not had the full benefit of the programme.
It recently struck me how LUDICROUS this is given the cost of
Alcohol
Mixers
Hangover vits
Antacids
Strong analgesia.
Lost Days
Junk/hangover food.

And that's just the dollar cost........

Oh and as an aside, I used to work for a pharmaceutical company.
Long story short, they are full of sh*t. It costs them an average of 10% of what they charge us , per unit, to manufacture, research and market drugs (or buy the license)
They are largely greedy unethical organisations, with their snouts firmly in the trough, predating upon suffering.
