Hi,

I'm a bit confused here. What does it mean that the Consolidated Baclofen thread is "locked": who did it and why? I'm also confused about why LoOp doesn't want Dr. Phill to post on this thread. I haven't seen anything out of line in his posts, except perhaps his promoting his Bac book--yet MWO promotes lots of its own products on the site.

Also, Lo0p: I thought you were on the "cured" list on the Sinclair board. You did a lot of good work there, but things seem to have petered out generally on that site. Perhaps Nal didn't work as well as expected? I know it didn't for me. I tried it for a year to no avail. Before that, tried Topa for three months, also to no avail and too many SEs as dosage went up so elected to quit. I also ordered MWO's nutritional supplements: no results. Bac certainly looks like the last best bet and I'm hoping to get an Rx and instructions for titrating up from Dr. Levin at Northwestern. U in Chicago soon. He's a strong proponent and supporter of Dr. Ameisen (who I believe this week is giving presentations on his Baclofen protocol to the medical community at Northwestern.)

MWO is allowed to promote their products - it is the MWO website, after all.

I think the thread was closed due to a combination of Phil promoting his book coupled with all of the ensuing ill will that it created. I also think it would have been far better for the Mods to warn those involved and delete the irrelevent posts instead of closing the thread.

You know, I agree with the moderators. The thread had great information, but was largely disturbing, all through the whole thing, not just the sorry end. Along with others I'm sure, I was thinking of offering to truly consolidate the information without all the drama. Perhaps it could lead to a sticky, though I think the software the forum is on does not allow stickies in it's sub headings. This whole forum has been wonderful for me in starting bac and maintaining a sober/moderating lifestyle. But individual threads can be difficult.
