Red. Johnny is my secret boyfriend, so hands off, K????? :h:H

Murphy. The only reason you are having issues with a reward system is that you are not (yet) into women's shoes.

My nephew is one of the animation people (what are those people called anyway???) on Hop. I spoke with my niece yesterday who saw it with some girlfriends. She said "the animation was awesome but the plot needs some work." I really didn't know what sort of movie Hop was except that it's animated, and I almost asked her if it was a typical porn flick.

Thanks one and all for the movie recommendations. WF is not my boyfriend but I do like his humor.

Ne, your date night with Ed sounded fabulous. Isn't it nice to have a sober good time?

Off to the gym with my lazy behind!

Movies!!! I watched The Fighter and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. Unfortunately, I went F from my AF state again, and barely remember the end of the Fighter. I was AF Sat nite for The Girl, and Neva, it has subtitles and is the third and final installment of a trilogy definitely worth watching. Hollywood will do a fake boob version (wait for it Murph) but I'm telling you, this set of movies is awesome. So well acted.

I think Johnny Depp is a very beautiful woman.

And Angelina is a man in drag. (she was in the movie you're talking about with him right?)

Wow, another update, another drama! Never a dull moment around here.

You sound like you are okay with this development, which is good. And surprising. Well done.

What is THE GOAL now though? It's something I have been wondering myself these days. While I don't regard booze as an issue in the slightest these days, I don't have a goal, as such. Work ones, sure and a couple of personal things, but not a GOAL.

Did you share about baclofen at your meeting? Are you planning to?

I think this is why I love him. He is the perfect man for a Mary Kay lady, yes??? As I sad in a referral group meeting one time, eye liner is $10 and guy liner is $15.

Ne, seems like there are lots of signs in your life right now. Enjoy the beautiful adventure!

Interesting about goals. I think some of us obsess about that past and others about the future. I was (can can still be) a great Future Obsessor. (sp???) Anyway, these days I am trying to find balance just keeping my mind in today (and enjoying the ride as much as possible) and just enough prudent future planning to avoid being completely stupid. I'm glad I'm not one to obsess over the past because THAT would be one miserable exercise!!!! :H

So are you sore today? What kind of stuff do you do at the gym? My back has been giving me trouble for the last couple weeks so I have taken some time off from Curves. Although now I'm thinking I would be better off with a cautious workout (not my usual "full out" approach) and then extra time on this stretching jungle gym thing they have there. I went to the Big Gym after my first year at Curves but felt lost - so much going on - hard for me to get focused.

I bet it is a huge relief to know one way or the other about Ed's job. Not knowing would be the part driving me insane!!

I think your meeting approach is perfect. You are so right. It doesn't matter WHAT anyone says to me if I haven't decided I want what they have. And if I want it, I will definitely ask. Right on Sistah!

So what's up in the salon today?

                Ne,

It sounds like you are doing so well. Good on you!!

I am glad that Baclofen plus the many other steps you have/are taking is helping you so much.

btw, the last time I went to an AA meeting, I mentioned Baclofen and they were all excited at the thought it might help. One of the members is a pharmacist and she was going to look it up.

Unfortunately, I haven't been back there since. Travel keeps me from making it and so does my concern that I have spent many AA meetings drunk or buying drink on the way home. Not sure why I did that.

I am glad you keep posting. Indifference is not the only goal here. Living a good and happy sober life is. Being able to handle the good and the bad is.

                Love,

yeah, now I know why I love this thread and not mine.

                  This thread has everything.

Personal drama, sharing experiences, sound advice, and musings on life and GOALS and all that it all means in the whole universe. And lots of funny stuff, too (must make a note on that re: my thread).
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

I used to get night sweats in my twenties. I always had screwed up hormones. You'd think my doctor would have thought to check them. Instead she changed my blood pressure drugs and said this one will help you if you get night sweats. When I said good, I have that problem, she thought nothing of it. I'm no medico but geeees. She could have perhaps saved me from years of hormone hell. Or maybe not. Guess what, I'm having PMS right now! And it's a killer. Cheating on my diet and with AL. I swear if not for the PMS week, I'd be 30lbs thinner.

The nightsweats are gross, Ne, waking up and needing a shower even if you showered before bed, is a drag. And washing the sheets all the time. But you're sweating out toxins, so that's good.

I'm having night sweats. As in my sheets and pillow are soaking wet. The bed is big, but not so big that I could find a dry spot after moving a couple of times! It's happened before, for sure, but not this consistently. All things remain the same, bac level, diet, etc... Except that I had a mirena IUD, ahem, installed last week. (is it possibly hormonal? dunno.)

                              Help! Any thoughts or suggestions?
