Glad things are going well Ne, and thanks for gushing, I can never get enough approval or liking because I'm still so ashamed of outting Murph and of dating a gay man. I should have known he was gay because he always fucked to the left, his left, and never straight ahead. There's a message there surely besides the obvious "I know how to frustrate a woman". BTW, this gay man doesn't yet know he's gay.

Glad things are going well with Dr L and with getting some attention to the hormones. I have some OTC bioidentical progesterone cream (plus herbs) if you want it, I can't use it, it depresses me - also have some rx pills of same. Most people find they're happier with this stuff, so another me anomaly. Lemmeno.

Yes, Ne. Dr L has a thing for Japan. He told me it's his hobby. He lived there for a while and he's just really amazed by their culture. We're all crushed by this, but he might be especially.

Sorry for the thread hijack Ne but I have a question. I got the cost of my medical insurance from work to do COBRA. I almost fell over. I knew it was going to be expensive, but I under estimated by about $600 a month. I'm now considering just catastrophic insurance for 2 months since we are all healthy and this is temporary. Catastrophic coverage will not cover prescriptions. Since I have my other insurance till the end of the month, I thought I would get my 2 refills filled now, so I can stockpile while I'm off of work. Am I going to have trouble getting the pharmacy to fill this much? I guess I could call Dr L and beg him to call in the script to a different pharmacy, but I hate to bother him. I know he has got to be overwhelmed with the volume of us calling him all the time. What are your thoughts on this?

I had to finish making and eating my corned beef hash. The only time of year I allow such an indulgence. Yum!

I've heard Costco has really cheap bac, and it's one of my favorite places to go. I may have to get the catastrophic insurance and pay out of pocket for my drugs. It would still be cheaper than COBRA, even paying for the med out of pocket. Hopefully, I can get them to at least pay for 1 refill. Thanks for the advice.

Regarding xanax vs. valium. Yes, it will work the same way. Both are benzos, but xanax is longer acting. Both are also very addictive, especially to alcoholics. There's a lot of interesting talk over on Greg's thread regarding cross addiction. I have been fortunate in that I seem to be unable to get addicted to anything except booze. I can have xanax, opiates, even some old stale pot in the house and I might take it or leave it. I have a theory on that (again a theory), that I have gotten addicted to the booze because it's broken down like pure sugar. I know Bruun too has issues with that. Maybe she has some theories as well.

Either way Dr L says that we won't get addicted if taking the bac. I tend to trust him. He is willing to prescribe xanax, and he would know because people would be calling him for refills constantly. He offered me a script for it, but I already had a stash.

Good luck at the gyne's. That always sucks. I too would need a little something extra for the anxiety.

Sorry to bounce in unannounced, but I would take that statement with a pinch of salt... Or several...

Baclofen is not equivalent to immunisation against addiction, IMHO.

Tip, It's just what he says, and in my own experience I am able to take xanax on occasion. When I really need it. I however am not everyone. Maybe not even the majority. I did make sure to write how addictive it could be for us. Thanks, for the reminder, again. :l
