Knobert, could you start a thread, or post here, about your experience with baclofen. I think other people, particularly the new ones, could really benefit from it.

Also, Serenity. I know you don't want to do it. 6 sentences. That's all I'm asking.
It's an issue that I'm drinking again...And hard to take advice from someone who isn't completely free and sober. Given the fact that whats-his-name keeps bringing it up, and maintains that he is completely sober but doesn't credit baclofen, I would love to see some stories of the people who have been free for a while.
Same to you Lost. Or bump if you've already done it.

Man. I just got off the phone with a person from MWO whom I've never talked to or met before. The person asked to reach out--for a voice, and frankly, I reluctantly gave my phone number. It's been a loooooong time since I was so involved here that I reached out via phone or even email. But you know what? It's so important.
I'm so grateful for that phone conversation. It was great to talk about this disease we suffer from, and to share our stories.
Most importantly it reminded me that sharing our stories is vital. Trusting and talking and posting are the only things that matter, honestly. He, unfortunately, also thinks this forum is destroyed beyond repair. But you know what? We met and talked and shared, so it can't be all bad.
Thank you so much for calling. Really. It means a lot to me.
For the newbies and the lurkers out there, keep in mind that there are real people behind these names you see here. I'm really real. ha!

Bacman, you have enough on your plate. I highly suggest that you put Spirit on ignore and just focus on yourself and your recovery. Seriously.
Here's the thing. Terryk and I have the battle. So do a couple of other folks. We're mostly sober. Those of us that aren't know better than to let Spirit-full-of-it affect our sobriety, or our search for sobriety. But you? You're a newbie.
When I first got here there was this guy named P___. He was a total asshole. And he made all sorts of posts that were really inappropriate. There was this battle between him and a bunch of old timers. I got in the middle of it for a while. Then I figured out that I really didn't know what the fuck was going on. Then I realized that my defense of this guy, P___ was really not a good idea. Turned out he was a fucker after all.
There was also that guy...What was his name, Terryk? I know you remember. Or maybe you do, Serenity... Damn. He's the one who told me to go to the ER because I needed a psych ward. He might have been right at the time. lol. I swear, he took up so much of my time and energy back then (and he's been back since) that I can't believe I don't remember his name.
He's probably not here to harass us because Spirit-full-of-it is doing such a good job of it. Or maybe booze got the best of him. I hope not. He was an asshole, but he doesn't deserve that.
Maybe someday I'll forget Spirit's name, too? Here's hoping.Comment

But man, he was absolutely insistent that success with baclofen was a product of being delusional or the placebo effect. Remember? He was pretty nice to me, but that's because I PMd him a bunch. He was such an asshole to everyone else, especially Lo0p.
Okay. I'm pretty sure I've typed enough today to make up for at least a month and probably enough for another month to come. I'll check back in tomorrow. I am going to try to study.Comment

For the record, I'm sober - just not abstinent. A couple of beers occasionally, but very well below safe limits.
The guy you are talking about went by: JCourt, JamesCT, 37degrees, dustbin, arsenic, BillF, onequart, Zone, squeezed, Glass, and propanegas.
