    My Bac Adventure

I'm so glad. You can worry about the viagra later. (Though I think it's contraindicated with bac. :H Kidding, people, I don't really know for sure, since I don't have to take the stuff. )

I am also working on a solution to the dreaded PM box situation. It is not so much popularity as inability to let go...

      Hey Grommet,

I'm sorry to hear about everything you're going through with your company. I wanted to tell you, the Teva brand doesn't agree with me either. I can take small amounts of it without problem, it's when I'm using it as my main bac script that it's problematic. It gives me some of the worst SEs (but is very effective in general). I know you just placed a large order (overseas) and you're working with Dr L. I hope he told you he would help you get your script elsewhere. You just have to find a pharmacy that carries Lioresel. You could probably find one by calling around. I know people use it here.

        Hi Grommet-
Just read your whole thread & wanted to offer support. The miracle will happen again just hang in there! Just wanted to send you a little support.

          Hey Grommet

Just thinking about you today and hoping you are "even closer" and the horse is dead!

            My Bac Adventure

            Hi All!

The amazing thing about this "MWO home" is that it is a place I know I can always come back to.

I'm good and have been working on things outside of the Bac protocol that are really helping. Like learning to forgive myself. I don't want to rehash, but that layoff in January I had to make put the burden of the world on my shoulders and really screwed me up.

Now I'm learning to not beat the crap out of myself. This is huge.

I'm hugging my kids as much as I can and kissing Mrs G on the lips when she least expects it. This is also huge. My soul is feeling much, much better for the first time in a long time.

A couple of days ago I searched back on my thread and was teary eyed. Such great support even after I disappeared yet again!

I'm not going to give the Bac level blow by blow, but suffice it to say that I'm feeling it right now and I am close once again.

Looking forward to that switch post!

Grom. Dammit. Whew. I am glad you are well. I know you didn't ask, and you won't take my word for it, but I'll plant the seed: Mindfulness meditation. Jon Kabat-Zinn has made it very un-weird and has a great program. You won't believe. (My husband just finished an eight week course. He is about as anti-alternative, hoodoo-hippy as they come. He is still, I kid you not, meditating. "Because it works and makes me feel better in my skin" he says. Wow.) You can get a bunch of the meditations online, just google and download. That's how I started...
Glad you're smooching and hugging and loving with abandon. That is the key. I guess.

The following is a lovely 7 minute reminder!

Ne, Bruun thanks. I may have been gone for a stretch but you two have never been forgotten

Ne the meditation is right on. I need to quit making excuses about how much time I have in the day...

Bruun, that little shelter cat that I swore up and down I would hate until the day it died has captivated me. He got out last night and we have two very aggressive fox in the neighborhood. Mrs G is still teasing me as I got up 3 times in the middle of the night to try to call him in. No worries, he was waiting on the deck at 6:30 this morning wanting to come in - I guess he finally got hungry...

Great to see you around, Grommet. I don't think I ever told you that I smile every time I read your screen name Popping in to your thread for a minute, to take a highlighter to: Mindfulness meditation. Wow.) from Ne's post, and: Ne the meditation is right on. I need to quit making excuses about how much time I have in the day... from yours. Reading this makes me very, very happy.

Ne, I have a boatload of CD's from JKZ's own MM teaching, as well as a series of talks that he was a part of in 2008, when they held a conference on "The Implications of Mindfulness Meditation for Health" at . . . get this . . . Mayo Clinic. I sat and streamed them onto my computer the entire day, and always show at least one or two of them to my own students. I've never tried to burn them to DVD, but it would be a good idea, 1) to better preserve them; and 2) perhaps be able to share them.

Damn, I wish we lived near each other. I would SO LOVE to spend a day or two with you and some of this material. Where DO you live? (PM me.) I'll be on the East Coast for a few weeks in late May and June. Several of the "cohort" of scientists around the Dalai Lama are featured in these talks, but I don't think they were ever packaged for distribution. And I also have an entire 2-3 day symposium from these same folks, the "Mind and Life Institute," that I've never taken time to listen to, myself (she's says, making a note in her day-timer). Rambling on, I'll just say that my 1000's of hours "on the cushion," and all the other incredible training that has come to me is beginning to seem as if it was dress rehearsal for the past 2 1/2 weeks. Can you say, INTENSE? Death, wedding, death, pregnancy, death. That's been my family's story lately. :bow to meditation, yoga, Dr. Ameisen, baclofen, MWO . . . I'm present, breathing, and soberly taking it all in. Wow. Life is just so much, huh?
