I just thought of something else you can do....it's a bartender's cure for an upset stomach due to a hangover....it's also considered a non-alcoholic drink. Mix club soda/Perrier/ and pour in a few shots of Angostura Bitters, and the squeeze of either a fresh lemon, lime or orange. Hopefully it will settle your stomach. It settles mine down when I'm traveling and something doesn't agree with me.

It is not so much the nausea...I have gotten used to that...It is more the twitching finegers and vibrating eyes and the feeling that my lips and tongue are alseep and I am having trouble talking...It is the feeling that when I walk my legs are going to give out at any minute...it is the not sleeping more than a couples hours a night...it is making stupid mistakes, and being crabby and more irritable than usual...it is the racing heart...

I have not had any good SE's so far...I am wondering if maybe this is not the drug for me...the only other med I am on is prozac and when I first talked to Dr. L he said it was fine to take with bac...

I am up to 165mg a day and not seeing much benefit so far...have had a few af days and a few very little al days...but for the most part am my same old trainwreck of myself!

taw, I'm really sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. It breaks my heart. Have you considered perhaps dropping to 130ish for a bit - I know when I've decreased all the SE's have faded away to nothing quite quickly. Perhaps a few days of normality would help?

Please hold on. It works. When you stop taking the Bac you are sure where you'll be.
Try Ameisen himself maybe. I have a feeling Dr L and OA might have different point of views. Maybe he has a different point of view regarding the Prozac.
I wouldn't taper down. As hard as it is, you are familiar with it now. Vomiting won't kill you, the booze might.
Well, from the other side of the ocean, I think of you and hope the Bac will take it easier on you soon. And it will.
Remember all the stories NE has posted for example. About all the SE's and how she was feeling. And now she taking the 240's like she's eating an apple.
Get better, hold on, and you will overcome. I'm/we're with you.

The SEs suck. They suck. When you can find a fun one, latch onto it. (No change in the libido yet for you I assume? It's, ahem, coming. That one is FUN.)

It's not that bac isn't for you. (And ftr, bitters is 90 proof! I used to use that tonic to the tune of a bottle a night at work. No one knows... It's the alkies best kept secret!)

The tingling hands/lips? The spasms? (so weird that it's used to treat that!) The light shows? They suck. But they dissipate. And I swear that to you as the honest truth. There are others too that you may not have experienced, but you might. Post them. It helps. I also swear that is the truth. And every person on here who has done just that will attest to the wisdom of it.

Go down. and then bac up. Or go up. Both have worked for me. Lay off the sauce. I had respites when I couldn't drink. They brought little gifts, opened little windows that I couldn't see at the time, but I think might have helped to keep me going. I'm guessing that you've had periods of fewer drinks, and then maybe gone bac up with the booze? That's how it worked for me. Each time I was thoroughly beaten by the combination. If you're not drinking, GREAT. If you are, don't despair, it'll happen anyway. It just might hurt more. Not sure.

Go down. Or up. Down to 20 or up to 300 (but carefully if you do either of those things.) The bac'll be here and so will we. :l

taw, I've never really given it much thought, but have you considered changing the brand of baclofen you currently use? Maybe there's something to it?

Yes, bleep, I have changed brands and now they are even worse...I was on bac dura and now am on fexobac...

I have gone this far....can't get much worse, I guess!

This has been so me too, sorry I didn't see your post sooner but I can really relate to where you are right now. I too have been tempted to stop. It's been so bad I haven't been able to get to the post office to pick up my next delivery of baclofen, and I think they've had it over a week now so may return to sender. Going to be a real problem now I'm munching through them like smarties. I've had more AF days than usual but most of the time the same 'mess' I was but on much more booze.

Hopefully something will kick in at some point.
