Hi Bill,

First things first: Welcome.

You posted: "I've been drinking more than usual lately". Before giving you any advice it might be better if you tell a little more.

What is 'more' and what is 'usual' and what is 'lately' ?

This Bac should be working in the brain. But if there's no problem in the brain, there's nothing to be re-wired, or re-balanced. If this is a temporary thing, you might even be better of with something like Antabuse.

The Bac takes, normally (except for Bleep) time. And if you believe that you circumstances are the reason that you drink too much, maybe you should handle the circumstances instead of trying the brain-thing.

For most people who are drinking heavily for a longer period Bac pretty much helps. And of course there are exceptions (like UK, and others who did not get the benefits and left MWO).

'Usually' you begin slow. I'd say start at 25 mg/d and chop the pills in pieces.

But then again, what's exactly the problem? Maybe Bac isn't the way for you.

PS: you can drink whatever you want. The hangovers did not get worse to me, so for me it was easy to jump on the alcohol-train time and time again. If the hangovers worsen, you're a lucky guy

It sounds like you are a good 'candidate' whatever that means. Mostly, imho, it means slogging through until the end. Whatever the means is doesn't really matter, I suppose, as long as it includes bac!

A chart would be really great. We haven't had one in AGES and I'm tired of looking at the same ones, pretty as they are! (craving has one, too.)

Maybe a nice thing to knowl. I also had those SSRI's. Worked a bit, but not really. At 100/120 mg, I felt, something positive happening. It was the same effect I got after 2 days SSRI, but this time it was there to stay.

Well those text-messages..it's your ex, who cares. I hope they helped you release your anger. And maybe the bitch deserved it. I can't tell.

I'm not in to statistics but apparently NE has needs these days.
