Hmmm - some more thought is required - this method has worked my whole life, it is only very recently I have noticed the weight gain.

Don't watch any friggin 24.
Just eat! I'm guessing that on 500mg/day of bac your brain and body have enough to deal with. So eat. At some point the sun will shine on that spinach or squash and it will sing you sweet songs. 'tis another great SE of bac. (noones ever mentioned it but they sing, too.) That happens around, well you'll be able to tell us if you go any damn higher!!!
I was watching the moon set this morning and realized that we are all under this great resplendent orb, albeit not at the same time... I was connected to friends from Asia and Africa and Europe and Australia. (I can't think of the other continents atm.)

I watched the moon tonight as well, I love full moon. Maybe that's where all this weird behavior is coming from!
I've watched all the 24 I have, so it's not even an option. For now, I am stuck with romantic dramas... Yay.
Just swallowed my pills with orange juice, no booze for me for a while! I'm also slightly peckish, but will just try go to sleep and ignore the feeling. Here we go!

Yup, Supermoon and the Vernal Equinox!! I'm kicking myself for not driving out to the beach earlier to watch it rise above the waves. I had to wait nearly an hour after the rise to be able to see it from my house. It doesn't look as huge as it did when I saw it yesterday, but it is a hauntingly beautiful shade of yellow-orange.Better Living Through Chemistry
Switched at 180mgs of Baclofen on 1/31/11, and again on 10/8/11 at 200mgs.

Hooray! I'm on about 500, and can gleefully report that oxytocin has made a welcome comeback! I was watching Shrek with my son, and absolutely hosing myself. My wife was convinced I had had a joint.
I had forgotten how nice this feels. I sit here typing this with a big grin on my face. Other SE's are the sleeping like a rock, still for 2 hours at a time though. Waking up with stiffness from not moving. That's about it really, oh, and the stoned feeling has returned.

I was going to post this in response to a lot of people's opinion that having a doctor on board is the way to go, but luckily remembered in time! Otherwise we would have had this debate on a newbie's thread.
What makes people say this? How would having a doctor helping you through this any easier? I don't see how a doctor watching over me would have made any difference. When I had wobbles during my titration, it was here I came to, and I received more help and support than any doctor could have given. Very few doctors actually know anything at all about baclofen, let alone high dose baclofen, so what is he realistically going to tell you?
I really don't think having a doctor watching over you makes any difference at all, unless he knows the story, and you are having terrible SE's. This reluctance to go it alone has probably turned a couple of people away from baclofen, and I think unnecessarily so.

I think you'll get some good feedback on that, bleep, Dr L has helped alot of people here but maybe he's not the run-of-the-mill doc you're talking about. Having a local doc who doesn't know anything about high baclofen dosing would not be helpful, I expect.
Anyways, forgot to answer your post on my thread about the diet - going fine, lost 4lbs in the last week. I keep checking my face in the mirror to see if it's less fat. Just took a powder of L-glut. You?

DAy 2 is going well so far. Eaten 2 pieces of fruit, and a fruit salad! More fruit than I've eaten in 20 years. No drinking for 2 days, it's far easier than I thought it would be. Mrs bleep is pinting away as usual, I'm trying to get her to join me, but have had no success so far, despite her saying she will on both days! Bloody alky.
Disappointing response to the doctor question... Nudge nudge people.

Bleep, I just had this weird feeling. It is probably ridiculous but all of a sudden a person shows up on a thread that hasn't been posted on in quite a while. I suppose it's possible they went through everything and dug it up. Why not just post on something that's current. Then, murph raised a great point about the self medicating this stuff and Ameisen's thoughts on that. So, all of a sudden this french person, comes, makes one post and is gone, poof. (french/american)
You know I'm all about conspiracies, okay I might even be a tad paranoid. I just thought it was very strange (still do), and my gut was screaming at me. I didn't want to feed into the self prescribing thing, but did make a statement why people do. I guess I'm kind of a freak. This Princess Saved Herself

Bleep, probably the most important reason that people should at least approach their own doc is so that there's more and more docs out there who are aware that this protocol exists.
Some things a doc can do is check for contraindications from other meds, say whether or not an SE is normal or worrisome based on health history, and give input to possible solutions to SE's. Now, most of that is going to require a doc who thinks outside the box. Most docs are not going to even think about prescribing another med to negate the SE's of high-dose bac. We need more of the latter, and to get them, we need to be more willing to put in front of GP's, all IMHO.* * *
