    Indifference.

I think others have posted about this SE (maybe on the side effects thread?), and I had it for about a week at around 160-170mg/day. It was only at night, and very uncomfortable in a scary way. Kind of made me feel desperate. I would have to sit up in bed and read for a while, and then I think it went away.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

UK, I think Isolde recommended piracetam as well. I'm not keen to throw yet more pills at this, if tapering down a little doesn't work, I'll consider it though.

      Thanks.

Ah, thanks beatle. It is a really unpleasant feeling. It (perversely? sadistically?) helps to know that others have felt it before. Must be pulling some strange faces in my quest to swallow sometimes!

Piracetam is a nootropic and cognitive enhancer. I took it for several months while studying for my comprehensive exams, and I did find it effective, but not particularly as a stimulant. It did boost my memory, though. I was able to retain more information on it.

Phosphatidylserine is also a memory and cognitive enhancer, which boosts levels of acetylcholine and dopamine in the brain. I have tried it as well, but didn't find that it had a stimulating effect-- but then, I have a very high tolerance to stimulants, so that may just be me.

I hope the swallowing thing goes away, Bleep. That does sound uncomfortable.

Modafinil works great vs. high dose baclofen induced sleepiness / concentration problems. It doesn't have the abuse potential of "real" stimulants like Adderall and Ritalin.

It is Book. Still I'm sure I'll live, so I'm not too upset! I'm about to start an MBA, so I think this piracetam deserves a bit of research - you're the third person to suggest it now...

Please also try the phosphatydl serine, though. It is natural and I found it to have a noticeable effect on my concentration/focus. I think it is also good for you.

Yup, I deal with that too. I think it is due to how much the bac dehydrates us. Sometimes it feel like I'm either congested or am starting to get a sore throat. I am drinking tons of water in an effort to avoid it, but it's there just the same. Or I will drink some very hot tea, to try and cut the mucus (not sure if that's even what it is), but it doesn't seem to help. Although it is a bit soothing!

It's ok to take some pleasure in knowing that others have experienced the same SEs! I do that too. It's nice to know you're not alone! :l

Book, I think it all depends on what people are looking for in the case of nootropics. Piracetam would be nice if it also acted as a stimulant, but I've only ever used it for the mental concentration and focus. I end up having 2 cups of coffee shortly after taking it in the morning anyway, so I guess it works out! No wonder I feel so spaced out in the afternoons lately! Because both stimulant and cognitive enhancing effects have worn off! :H I sure could use a nap right now.....

I left the cacoethes (my vote for today!) behind, what's in front remains to be seen. Hopefully it's something like flying a helicopter, or extreme skiing, and not philately!
Cacoethes is a very excellent word!! Never heard that one before. I love new words, expecially very good ones.

Sounds to me as though you've already found a new hobby, bleep - discovering and using new words! You're turning into a regular logophile (thanks to nev for introducing me to that one recently!).

DBD, I think it depends very much on the individual. I do think rapid titration played a part, but with a sample size of one, it is of course hard to be certain.

In my case, I had been on the 400mg's for only a day, and was dropping down due to SE's, I had been going up almost daily, at a fairly consistent rate, the whole way through the experience.
