Murph’s Baclofen (or should that be BacloFUN) diary

well i'm glad i finnaly did get my education on that line in those great lyrics of a band i also love! but, really?! oz didn't give anything to the tin man?! i thought he gave him his heart? or is the point that he already had a heart? do enlighten further, please.

curly, apnea is fuckin scary, woman! but, as you'll read and learn on your own anyway, you won't die. i had it bad and started that panicked thread on it, to the great supportive response of our people here. seems most people report it passing within a few days, maybe? it did for me. when i had my first nap without it, i became hopeful. and the trend continued. i'm hoping that as i type you're enjoying a deep and restful sleep...

Oz never did give nothing to the tin man that he didn't already have.

Apnea is not that common. Nor, I suspect, is it apnea. If it is, it's likely as related to weight/something else as bac. just sayin

Hang in there, Curly. If it's not apnea it goes away. If it is apnea, I suspect you'll have to manage that in order to go up.

if it's apnea you'll have to 'manage that' -- whaddya mean, ne? how? any tips or tricks? (oh yeah, speaking of, i meant to tell you, curly, that sleeping sitting up did seem to help me, and i think someone else, too.)

it WILL pass, curly. however you call it.

OK everyone, I'll hang in there. Murph I think I'll try your idea of taking my last dose at 6 pm and see if that helps the sleep thing. All of you seem to have powered through it. I bought some Piracetam from Amazon. Each tablet is 800 mg and I take two in the morning. I don't notice much difference though and wondered what you were taking for a dose. A coworker commented the other day that my affect seemed very flat. Well, I guess I won't worry about that.

Rudy it sounds like you're still having sleep apnea. I remembered you had it a while back, but you're still getting it?

I slept better last night. Took my last dose of Bac at 6pm tonight, so we"ll see how it goes tonight. Reassuring to know your apnea only lasted 4 nights!

Sorry you had to be without power for so many days after hurricane Irene. Losing your power that long is the WORST!

I trust everything is back to normal now.

Curly, sorry I didn't reply before, I've been super-busy work-wise (do I hyphenate too often? lol).

RE the piracetam: You should take it twice a day, one of those caps morning and afternoon should do to start. If after a week of that you don't get any satisfaction, then up the dose. Personally, I just take 3 grams of powder, as and when I need it. Also you should take it with a source of choline. I use lecithin powder. Some people feel the benefits after the first dose, for others it can take weeks.

How did your sleep go when you took the last dose at 6? I hope the pesky apnoea is subsiding.

The apnea seems to be better the past few days, which is a relief. I asked about the Piracetam because I get so spacey at work. Where do you buy the powder in bulk? Do you mix it in juice? I'll definitely try spacing it out over the day.:thanks:

If anything's going to help with the spaceyness look, it'll be piracetam. Check this thread out https://www.mywayout.org/community/f2...tam-50237.html The replies from Isolde are the definitive answers on piracetam. Isolde is the piracetam goddess. Which seems quite a limited role for a deity: the power of piracetam! But she certainly knows her onions, or rather her piracetam.

Great to hear the apnoea is behaving itself.

Dammit, they are all right. Ironically Piracetam has been amazing for me as well. Thanks for the reminder murph et. al.

Curlygirl there are a few different ways to buy it. SNS Nutritional has great deals for them but also apparently I hear that you can get the powder in bulk (althoug when SNS has a deal it amounts to the same). Xx

If someone were to go out in public, stinking like a pig, knowing they stink and not caring about the effect it has on others, you'd think them disgusting, inconsiderate and among the most hideous of the gods' creatures. Every time I walk my dogs in the local park I encounter not one, or two, but dozens of these people.

Now, you may think this is a peculiarity of Bedford, that the locals are unwashed and oblivious to the concerns of others. While it's certainly true we do have our fair share of under-class scum, the majority of the stinky people in the park would consider themselves responsible, middle class and possibly even genteel members of society. Then why do they insist on behaving in such an irresponsible and offensive manner?

I'm talking about joggers: the filthy, sweaty, reeking, mass of people who inconsiderately pollute my personal space. I hate them and they must die. And surely they will. Perhaps not today, or tomorrow, but one day, although it may be 60 years hence, they will croak and I take pleasure in that knowledge. Much as I would like to hasten their departure for offending me so, I suspect the courts would be unwilling to accept my plea of self-defence due to an increased sensitivity to foul aromas brought on by high dose baclofen. Pah! Clearly our Criminal Justice system needs a complete overhaul in order to take into account the numerous side effects of HDB.

I last experienced this side effect on my upward titration and now I'm on the way down, it's back again. I was in the supermarket this morning and a cyclist stood next to me at the till. He smelt like he'd spent the night sleeping in a pool of tramp's piss. I was appalled that he had the sheer effrontery to stand next to me in such a state and made it very clear I was unhappy with his decision by turning and giving him a look. He may not have quite understood the purpose of my glare, but he started to look uncomfortable and rather sheepish. I considered my point made and turned away, rather sharpish actually, as I noticed I was starting to make him sweat and I didn't wish to make a bad situation worse.

On a happier note, the Rugby Union World Cup has begun today. "Huzzah!
" I hear you cry. And why not? It is indeed the pinnacle of sporting excitement and entertainment. Apart from Wales battling their way through the group stage and pressing through the knockouts, hopefully to ultimate victory, we can also enjoy the spectacle of the United States of Amurrica getting soundly thrashed, oops I mean putting on a fine, gritty show of pluck despite having a virgin in Swansea's chance. Enjoy!

YW, Murph. glad I could help. Candy-ass is a good one.

I sat next to a woman at 8am (that's 08:00 for you folks that don't know how to tell time) last week in bio class. Her smell was intoxicating, just about. I couldn't tell which was worse, the previous night's booze funk wafting from her pores or the stuff she was using to try to cover it up.
I am quite sure that I was the only hopeless alcoholic that didn't smell like one.
I can't imagine what that rugby locker room smells like. Or is it unmanly to bathe after such sport? Wouldn't want to be taken for a sweet-smelling-candy-ass, wouldja?

Wow dude. For some reason I considered rugby to be a tough sport, before that video. I'm not the biggest football fan, but you definitely need to look at a hardest hits video. And I don't care if they wear pads, football players don't appear to be looking solely for an excuse to grope another guy :H
