Or is it only ok to post if he posts ideas that you support? Seriously, I am asking a question because it feels like this is his own thread but people are hijacking it.

The only reason I am hijacking his thread is that he isnt allowed to post here any longer.

UK he only did that in the last few days when he was swarmed by the GD women. The ones who only apparently see his offensive posts.

Several times I saw newbies post in his thread with questions instead of starting their own. Their inquiries were always answered by him, and these people weren't offended. They were also always women. Weird, huh?

Wow. I have never seen a lynch mob in action before. That was fascinating, if also profoundly disturbing.
I don't even have it in me to respond really. Except to point out that this was the most popular thread on MWO, and has been for months. Also, I'd like to remind everyone how many people thanked Murphyx for helping them. Some even credit him for saving their lives!
It was a good run. Time to move on, I guess. (Strange that people from outside of this section would make that decision for everyone. Apparently they're the only ones who didn't read this thread.)

I've rewritten this post several times now, each time trying to make a joke about how lucky I am that I wasn't turned into a submissive, sexist, racist, homophobe by reading here. Murphy would know exactly what to say to make it all alright, and really funny to boot. That was one of his many gifts.
(I just have to add this fact: The man is a vegan environmentalist activist who consistently champions the underdog. The man lives his ethics, he doesn't just talk them. The frenzy could not possibly be more misplaced.)
And yeah, I'm another feminist who read this thread every day.

Because I was too afraid to post, in the past he'd poked fun at me when I objected to anything, said I was a sulky child looking for attention. That hurt and taught me not to post anything, just to try and ignore it - especially when those comments almost tipped me over the edge whilst struggling with baclofen. He also implied several times that myself and missy abby were the same person(because she also didn't appear to get on with him), and that I was imagining my side effects, or at least wrongly attributing them to baclofen. At that time I was really suffering and didn't need someone taking the piss. What was happening was real, and funnily enough the SEs reported disappeared when I quit baclofen. I once spent a long time on the phone to another forum member because I didn't have the strength to get into a posting exchange over it.

So that's why I didn't mention it - my experience was that he'd make some smart quip back.

No I don't think you post what you like in 'your' thread. This is a forum not a personal website, most forums have rules stating you shouldn't post anything offensive or abusive.

For the record I don't hate Murph, there are very few people I actually hate and I usually hope they get better.

I just wanted to post how I felt since it's obviously all come to a head. This forum has a wide range of members, from a wide range of backgrounds and we need to remember this, all of us. We are here for the same thing, which also means trying to post sensitively remembering this.

I also don't think NE or Red are weak women at all, however they do form a formidable trio with Murphy. Would be good if this could be harnessed positively, and not become a them and us thing.

If that is so I'll remove all my comments and stay right out of it. I was too scared to post in the past because I thought it was just 'me', when others came forward gave me the confidence to say something about how I'd been feeling.

I did say in a pm to another member here I feel awkward speaking/interacting with others. Guess I need to grow up, since I am obviously quite inadequate. I'll remove the posts and hope I get the courage at some point to confront people when I am uncomfortable, and they've a history of retaliating with quips.

One reason I used to drink was so that I could get the courage to face people who were bothering me. I don't drink very much any more, perhaps that's my problem.

Unfortunately, many of you are not looking at what really happenned here. This whole thing did not start on Murph's thread, it started when he rudely went off on another poster on another seperate thread. And when he was kindly asked to stop, he continued to bury himself. Seriously people get your facts together. I am one of the ones that complained and I am not a GD poster, I post on the Meds section, and I take baclofen. But i dont suspect anyone will acknowledge this, they will just continue to say what a caring guy he is and that he never bothered anyone.

Again, He went after people on seperate threads. I did relay in an non confrontational way that he was being rude to someone and asked for the whole community to take a step back and try to be more supportive and his reply (again, on the other thread) was to tell me to get over myself.
