Murph’s Baclofen (or should that be BacloFUN) diary

Slipstream, great find. It's appalling that the same women who got so worked up about lesbian jokes find false accusations of rape so hilarious. Imagine the responses if Murphy had posted it.

Crunchy, once again, you're way off the mark. A joke about rape is terrible no matter who it's directed towards. If you can't figure that out, then I don't know what to tell you.

If you cannot or will not acknowledge what I have posted, there is no point in talking to you. You don't want clarity. You don't want prevention. You don't want solution. You don't want any kind of closure. You want weep and moan over your own, personal, completely irrational grievance. Have at it.

Wow. Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. You ignore my point, which directly addresses your point. You're one of those people that has been mentioned that came to this thread with no idea of what's been going on. You miss the entire story and then want it to be repeated to you. You have no idea why I'm posting in this thread. And once again, you're way off the mark with your assumptions of what I want. I'm not gonna let someone who has no idea of what's going on tarnish a friend's image. We're done here.

Slipstream, thank you for pointing out the extraordinary hypocrisy of Panno and Zenstyle, two of the loudest critics of the meds board. I have been listening carefully the past few days to decide whether their views are entitled to credence or respect. The "joke" destroys any semblance of credibility they might have had. It is not only not funny in the slightest, it is offensive in about every way imaginable. It is also very very sad.

I was just having a chat with a warm-hearted, lovely, new-found friend here. Maybe some people are idiots and do not understand the hurtfulness of all this. Maybe some of those people want to stay idiots. There is nothing I can do about that.

By continuing to engage in this mess I am afraid that I will just keep the hurtfulness going. I remember reading this ick and feeling so hurt and feeling hurt for people who were being attacked and feeling angry about it all. There is some one out there right now, maybe there are a lot of people, who are reading all this and feeling all that hurt too. They also feel powerless to make it all stop.

I think that the best way I can help make it all stop is to stop talking to the hurtful people. If I keep trying to talk to them I am just giving them the opportunity to keep the hurtfulness going. So I'm not going to do that anymore.

I hope everyone has a good night.

hey gotta stop. are you suggesting that pete's last post was actually murph? if so, which seems to be the case, i can assure you it was not. here's how i know. murph always used to misuse 'its'; he'd write that when he really should've written 'it's', and he'd write 'its' when it should've been with an apostrophe. so, the above post was defiinitely pete, as he always gets it right. (i never corrected murph cause long ago we beat that dead horse, and rarely had it been a point of interest or humor anymore.)

but most people around here who share your persuasion wouldn't know that, because the irony and tongue-in-cheek is lost on you, as are other subleties, since you hadn't been reading that closely, unlike many, many other supporters who read here for some upliftment. (yes, i know you find this untinkable, in light of murph's poor taste. but it's true. what kind of intelligent, sensitive person would say such things and mean them, really? not the murph i know. again, we're beating the dead horse -or rather, i am- of missing the point entirely. of torciendo la tela.) this thread was taken into a strange and unfortunate twist -all personal offences aside, that's how it can be summarized- and now we're left in this dead-sea quagmire.

                            alas.

Shit, I thought that was the pointy finger saying no,no,no, in response to what you said about the joke. Let me fix it. Do you know how many times I have used that particular smiley thinking that?
